According to Atiku, proceeds from the removal of the fuel subsidy have been mismanaged instead of being channelled toward addressing poverty, insecurity, and youth unemployment. The former Vice President spoke in response to a call by Atiku Agenda Support Group led by Emmanuel Ntekim, during a courtesy call on him in his residence in Abuja on Thursday. According to him, many young Nigerians who depended on legitimate cross-border trade have been pushed into financial difficulties as a result of the restrictions. After losing the election in 2019 and couldn't get his way in 2022, he switched to LP, couldn't run the party successfully and then moved to the ADC. -From PDP to APGA to PDP to LP to ADC. -He worked with Atiku in 2019, condemned Atiku's platform (PDP) as the structure of criminality, then is back to working with Atiku again. "I will never leave APGA” promises made between 2002 to 2010. "I am not leaving Labour Party" promise made in April 2024. Let's not also forget that Obi was supposed to help Atiku win the 2019 election by upping his chances in the South-East. Couldn't keep his promise in the past, bails easily, but of course, Nigerians are overly sentimental.

This afternoon, I was at the National Mosque Abuja, to join other Muslim faithful in the Jumaat Prayers and thereafter the wedding fatiha of Abubakar Babakano Aliyu Jada (Atiku) and his bride, Khadija Tijjani. I was given the hounour and privilege to receive Khadija to be joined in marriage to Atiku, on behalf of my childhood friend, Alhaji Babakano Aliyu Jada. I performed this duty with great pride and honour. I congratulate Atiku and his bride Khadija. May Almighty Allah grant them all round blessings beyond measure in their union. -AA
