22lr for everyday carry?

If it's all you have, sure. If you can afford something better, no.

It’s not so much the “stopping power” of 22 that’s the concern, it’s the reliability. I ain’t betting my life on any rimfire.

It can get the job done, but any centerfire is preferable. And .32 ACP gets so little love any more...

Thing with a 22 it enters the body and bounces around inside doing more damage than if it exited! A guy was shot in the stomach with a 22 up here. When the ambulance came they didn’t believe the hole was from a gun. They finally took him to the hospital but he died! Both paramedics were fired I believe.

22 Long Rifle will take down a 1500-2000 lb steer. That is good enough for bois in the hood. It’s not gonna defeat body armor, but most thugs don’t have that anyway. Cheap easy, quiet and effective.
