Christmas election? The ball is in the NDP’s court. They’ll decide if we will have an election or not. Do they pull a Jagmeet Singh & continue to prop up Liberal failures and decimate their party into oblivion? Or do they grow a pair and tell Carney to shove the deficit up his rear? If they abstain to vote, that’s them supporting the Liberals and allowing the budget to pass.

Carney can taste his majority. He can get to it with a few more floor crossers, but that not what he wants. He's looking at the polls, and he can see that the Conservatives are losing support. You just know he wants an election, but he doesn't want to call one. His best bet? Let his government get defeated, and have the Governor General call an election. How? Push a really bad law, like Bill C-9. Better yet, table budget 2026/27 with an even bigger deficit. Or maybe piss off the Bloc, and get the to somehow support the Conservatives in a motion to defeat the Liberals on immigration or dropping the dairy cartel. We're going to the polls in June.
