Every Bharatiya should visit the #Rezangla war memorial in Ladakh at least once in their lifetime to understand and bow before the sacrifice of the bravehearts of 13 Kumaon regiment. Rezang La, a high pass in the Himalayas was the site of the last heroic stand of the 13 Kumaon, during the Indo-China War in 1962. The company was led by Maj Shaitan Singh. Today is the 61st anniversary of the epic battle. It was on the 18th November 1962 that 114 Indian soldiers of the Charlie Company of the 13 Kumaon battalion made the supreme sacrifice in the high passes of the Himalayas, but not before kiIIing more than 1500 Chinese soldiers! 18th November is commemorated as #RezanglaDay. It was the heroic last stand of the Ahir Veers of 13th Kumaon that stopped the Chinese from advancing to the Chushul Valley of Ladakh! As the battle took place at the beginning of the harsh Ladakh winter, the bodies of the Indian soldiers could be retrieved only months later. It was in February 1963 that an Indian search party found the snow-covered corpses of the Ahir Bravehearts on the battlefield, some still clinging onto their guns and others frozen to death in crouched positions! The Charlie company of 13th Kumaon continues to be the most decorated company of the Indian army. One Param Vir Chakra, eight Vir Chakras, four Sena Medals and one Mentioned-in-Dispatches were awarded to the soldiers of the Charlie Company for this truly heroic battle! These soldiers were cremated at the site where the #Rezangla war memorial stands today. The body of Major Shaitan Singh was flown to Jodhpur and cremated with full military honours. Today, as we visit the war memorial of Rezangla and look at the pictures and the memorabilia of the soldiers, we realise how under-equipped our soldiers were to fight at such high altitudes! They had canvas shoes, tin watering cans, few digging tools, and antiquated weaponry! Despite that, our soldiers fought like lions! As we stand at ground zero, where the brave soldiers of 13th Kumaon received their last rites, it is a sobering reminder that our freedom comes at a high cost! With inputs from Harpreet

Meet Havildar Digendra Kumar MVC – “The Cobra of Tololing” He is one of the most decorated soldiers of the 2 Raj Rif and a living legend of the 1999 Kargil War Awarded the Maha Vir Chakra -India’s second‑highest wartime gallantry decoration - he is widely remembered as the “Cobra of Tololing” for his role in capturing the strategically vital Tololing heights. Born:3 July 1969, Neem Ka Thana, Rajasthan Awards: Maha Vir Chakra – 15 August 1999 Sena Medal – 1993 (counter‑terror operations in Kupwara) Retired:31 July 2005. From IPKF to Hazratbal Digendra Kumar joined the Army in 1985and quickly built a reputation as a fearless commando: IPKF, Sri Lanka (late 1980s): Engaged in high‑risk jungle operations against LTTE militants- shooting down insurgents, destroying ammunition dumps, and rescuing captured paratroopers. Kupwara: Conducted intense counter‑terror operations and was awarded the Sena Medal for conspicuous gallantry. Hazratbal siege (1993): Took part in operations to flush out terrorists from the Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar and was commended for his performance. By 1999, he was already a battle‑hardened operator with multiple combat deployments. Kargil War: The Tololing Assault (13 June 1999) Sector: Dras, Kargil Objective:Recapture Point 4590 / Tololing Top (~15,000 ft), a heavily fortified Pakistani position dominating the highway and valley. under Major Vivek Gupta. Digendra’s role: Commander of the LMG group in the assault company; part of the elite “Cobra” commando element. Digendra was hit by a bullet in his left arm, but instead of taking cover, he kept firing his LMG suppressing enemy positions and allowing his comrades to advance. His sustained fire broke the enemy’s ability to target the climbing troops effectively, enabling a close‑quarters assault on the bunkers. He was involved in neutralizing multiple enemy bunkers on the Tololing crest using grenades and hand‑to‑hand fighting. Some narratives describe him engaging in fierce hand‑to‑hand combat inside bunkers, helping kill numerous enemy soldiers. By the early morning of 13 June 1999 (around 0400 hrs) Indian troops had cleared the position and hoisted the Tricolour on Tololing Top This was the first major Indian victory of the Kargil War and a crucial psychological turning point: it proved that Pakistani positions on the heights could be taken. He sustained multiple bullet wounds during the assault (reports mention 5 to as many as 18 bullet hits on his body armour/body). Despite his injuries, he continued to fight until the position was secured and only collapsed after the objective was achieved. Why His Story Matters Havildar Digendra Kumar’s Tololing action is remembered because: It turned a seemingly impregnable Pak position into India’s first big Kargil victory. It showed how firepower, courage, and close combat at 15,000 feet could break enemy morale. It embodied the ethos of the Indian infantry: lead from the front, keep firing even when hit and complete the mission. Jai Hind!

🎬 In Moscow, a documentary about North Koreans who liberated the town of Sudzha in Kursk Oblast from occupation was shown for the first time. The premiere of the film "Korean Special Forces" took place at the Museum of Victory. The documentary showed the training of North Korean special forces in the forests of Kursk, and the process of learning how to work with UAVs. On the walls of the dugouts were drawings of fallen soldiers who blew themselves up with a grenade. "To be captured means betrayal in our army," a soldier says in the film. According to Vedomosti, after the screening, the DPRK side presented its documentary, filmed by North Korean war correspondents in Sudzha. It told the stories of some of the deceased: Pak Chun-guk, 18 years old "Seeing his comrades who came to rescue him after being wounded in the arm and leg fall under enemy fire, he shouted: "Don't come near!" and died heroically, detonating a grenade." Yun Jong-hyok, 20 years old, and U Wi-hyok, 19 years old "While rescuing the bodies of comrades who fell in battle, they were seriously wounded. Surrounded by the enemy, they embraced and died heroically together, detonating a grenade." Rim Hong-nam, 20 years old "While carrying out a mission to clear the way and demine, and seeing that the time of the attack was approaching, he threw himself onto a minefield and paved the way with his body, dying a heroic death." Kim Hak-chol, 32 years old "When his comrades came to rescue him after he fell from an enemy drone strike, he exclaimed: "Complete the combat mission of the unit!" - and, shooting himself in the head with a machine gun, he died heroically in battle." Kim Chol-gi, 38 years old "Even after his arm was torn off as a result of an enemy drone attack, he did not leave the battlefield and fought bravely. Then he shielded his comrades from machine-gun fire with his body, saved them, and died heroically in battle." Ro Nam-sok, 41 years old "When the attack was thwarted by enemy machine-gun fire, he, clutching a grenade, began to approach the enemy firing point. Having received 16 bullet wounds that shattered his arms and legs, he nevertheless fought to the end, destroyed the firing point, and died heroically in battle." - FRWL

Shining On The Hill - new single - out now. “The inspiration for this song comes from a story I heard about a very rich but lonely man, who walked many miles to the top of a steep and remote mountain to seek advice from the wise old monk, who lived there. Upon hearing the man’s story, the monk said nothing. Instead, he filled a cup with water, plonked it down on the table in front of him and returned to the bed where he had been lying before the interruption. The rich man was confused and sat looking at the cup of water, wondering what the monk was trying to tell him. Slowly, the ripples settled, until the water was completely still and when it was, it reflected the vast sky above him. Eventually the man came to understand that the difference between him and the monk was that while he spent his life in a ceaseless search, the world sought out the monk, with people travelling long distances and climbing the hostile slopes of the mountain to be near his perfect stillness, which shone, like a beacon, on the hill. “I wrote the song in February and presented it to my wife, Louise as a musical Valentine, which gave it another dimension of meaning. It now worked as both an ode to inner peace and as a love song, perhaps they are two sides of the same coin? “Amid the joyful hoo-ha of the Fairground Attraction reformation last year, Louise, and our family were confronted with the nearness of death when she had to face a life-threatening health issue. It is strange how the very good and very bad so often come along like two buses. She got the all-clear on the day that the band’s album, Beautiful Happening, was released and it was exactly that. As the year closed, feeling extremely grateful, I booked a big celebratory family holiday to Argentina and Brazil. “While in Rio De Janeiro on Easter weekend, I took the opportunity to make this video, it was hot and that big hill was very steep… but, I’ll be forever climbing to hear the joy bells chiming, where you will… be shining on the hill.”

Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov: President [Zelenskyy] has set a clear task – to build a system capable of stopping the enemy in the sky, halting their advance on the ground, intensifying asymmetric and cyber-attacks on the enemy and its economy, to make the cost of war for Russia so high that it simply cannot bear it, to stop the enemy by force. We must begin working in the informational and cognitive domain and counter Russian propaganda, particularly on the enemy's own territory. Our strategy has already led to the enemy losing 35,000 Russians in December. These are verified losses. There is a specific video for each hit. We have launched a market of interceptors that shoot down dozens of percent of all Shaheds. We are already destroying Russians at sea and at their own airfields. We were the first in the world to create a drone assault units, one of which was a striking force for the recent de-occupation of Kupensk. Artificial intelligence has already become an ally of Ukraine in the war. Hundreds of its solutions are operating at the front and are being used at all levels of military operations. We are moving to full autonomy on the battlefield, from machine vision and data analytics to drone swarms. Our ambitious goal is to make Ukraine the first country in the world that can predict and neutralize enemy attacks with the help of artificial intelligence and many other things that we cannot discuss publicly today.

The day that Greeks saved Americans. During the Korean War (1950-1953), North Korea was supported by China and the Soviet Union. The conflict in Korea quickly escalated into an international one, with the intervention of the United Nations (UN), led by the United States, to support South Korea. Greece responded to the UN's call and decided to participate. Thus, Greece sent a force consisting of an infantry battalion (named "Sparta") and a squadron of the Royal Hellenic Air Force. This force was known as the Greek Expeditionary Force in Korea (EKSE). The Greek infantry battalion "Sparta" participated in many battles and operations during the war, but the most notable and significant was its involvement in the defense of "Outpost Harry" in June 1953. Outpost Harry was a strategically important point on the Korean Peninsula. It was located on the front line, and the UN forces defended it with great determination, as its capture by Chinese forces could have had serious consequences for South Korea’s defense. The Battle of Outpost Harry is one of the most dramatic episodes of Greek participation in the Korean War. At this outpost, Greek soldiers faced fierce attacks from overwhelmingly larger (primarily) Chinese forces. The Greek force defending the outpost consisted of approximately 150 soldiers. The Americans called them the "Spartans of Korea." This force was part of the Greek Expeditionary Force in Korea (EKSE), which had a total of about 1.000 men during the war. On the other hand, the attacking forces were significantly larger. During the battle in June 1953, the Greeks and their allies at the outpost faced attacks from approximately 30,000 Chinese soldiers. These attacks were conducted in waves, with the Chinese attempting to capture the outpost through mass infantry assaults, often supported by heavy weapons and artillery. The battle began on June 10 and lasted until June 18, 1953. The fighting was extremely intense, and the defenders suffered heavy losses. However, despite the significant numerical disadvantage and the ferocity of the attacks, the Greeks and their allies managed to hold the outpost. The bravery and resilience of the Greek soldiers in this battle were recognized internationally, and the Battle of Outpost Harry remains one of the most heroic moments in Greek military history. As Greeks, we continually take pride in our history and achievements. Therefore, what I will mention below, and what you will hear in the video I provide, are testimonies from Americans who fought alongside the Greeks. Greek soldiers distinguished themselves for their heroism and self-sacrifice. Their contribution was widely recognized by their allies, and many were honored with medals and distinctions. Reports from American veterans and other allies describe the moments before the battle, where Greek soldiers, knowing the harsh conditions they would face, chose to dance the "tsamiko" and celebrate joyfully without fear of death. The "tsamiko" is a traditional Greek war dance, known for its heroic and martial character, dating back to the battles of the Greek Revolution of 1821, where it was frequently performed before battles. This dance was not merely an act of cultural expression but also a means of psychological preparation and morale boosting. It demonstrated the determination and fearlessness of the Greek soldiers, as well as their desire to maintain high spirits even in the face of extreme adversity. When the American soldiers who were with them witnessed this scene, they expressed their admiration for this act. Their testimonies often note that this event inspired and gave them courage, showcasing the power of solidarity and camaraderie in war. After the ceasefire on July 27, 1953, Greek forces remained in Korea until 1955, participating in peacekeeping and reconstruction missions. The sacrifices of the Greek soldiers have not been forgotten and will never be forgotten, remaining an important aspect of the history of the Greek armed forces. For information on American testimonies regarding the heroism of the Greeks (beyond the well-known Greek sources that are easily accessible to all), you can find details in the following sources: -United States Army Center of Military History (historical archives from military libraries with official reports and personal testimonies from American soldiers) -Korean War Veterans Association (KWVA) (they maintain archives and publish veterans’ accounts)

🚨 I went on Jeremy Boreing ‘s show to give my “state of masculinity.” The Right and the Left are both to blame. The Left hijacked the institutions that shape our minds—the storytellers—(education, Hollywood, media, etc.) and convinced a nation that our men are toxic. Then they infiltrated an overwhelming amount of corporate HR departments and men began to feel real-life outcomes through lost opportunities via quotas and anti-meritorious systems based solely on gender. All of this was accelerated by the #metoo movement when a justice system that was built on “innocent until proven guilty” was inverted to the detriment of many good men’s lives and careers. Rightly so, eventually men had had enough and fought to reclaim masculinity. BUT…like many cultural issues, the masculinity pendulum stretched so far in one direction that it came roaring back in the other and the Right was asleep at the wheel. It thus landed in the hands of bad actors who saw a fame and business opportunity ripe for the taking. They prey on young men by appealing to the two most powerful emotions: fear and greed. Fear that the culture hates them and greed of the life they “can” have (Ferraris and as many women as you want). And thus, we got the “manosphere” which is just a new form of toxic masculinity. I, however, believe that most men are virtuous and “virtuous” is the only adverb that belongs in front of masculinity. It is our job to catch the pendulum the next time it swings to the middle and help (mostly) Gen-Z men BUILD lives on the foundation of hard work, respect for women, love of America, and the fear of God. Because…the pendulum is coming back our way. 🇺🇸
