It all depends on where they are at. PAC-3 is a very agile and high acceleration missile. MSE even more so.

It costs too much to use fighters for that job. The optempo required is unsustainable with current assets

Whether you like it or not, fighters would have to be out there doing 'left of launch' missions to support TBM defeat in a heck of a lot of contingencies. Israel demonstrated a week straight of that. Now imagine if it had an ability to also defeat missiles instead of just taking out TELs and support vehicles.
