Exactly this! When the Jackson 5 took off, it was compared to Beatlemania and security was needed due to the intense fan worship. The Jackson 5 weren't just famous in the USA btw they were famous worldwide. By 1972, the Jackson 5 were touring in Europe and broke the attendance record of the Beatles. From 1973-1975, they were touring worldwide and performed over 380 concerts due to global demand. Michael had already dealt with intense fame before the age of 16. And this only amplified as the years went on and entered a whole new stratosphere during the Thriller era. Michael was not only seriously overworked his entire life and ESPECIALLY during his childhood, but he also dealt with an intense level of global fame from a young age. And you really can't compare this to other famous child stars because *this* level of global fame and public scrutiny was on another level and he dealt with it for his entire life.

In Rome May 1988, Michael Jackson brought his massive Bad World Tour to Rome, and what made it “spectacular” wasn’t just the performance it was the scale, the chaos of demand, and the cultural moment it created. At Rome’s Stadio Flaminio, tens of thousands of fans packed in to see him live, and many more flooded the streets outside just to be near the event. This wasn’t just a concert; it felt like a national level gathering. Italy at the time didn’t often host global pop events of that magnitude, so Jackson’s arrival turned the city into a frenzy. Reports from the tour describe overwhelming crowd energy, police struggling to manage access, and fans treating the night like a once in a lifetime experience.

Michael Jackson wasn't just the King of Pop, he was a beautiful soul the world never fully understood while he was here. Behind the music, the records, and the global tame was a man who gave endlessly, loved deeply, and used his voice to speak on injustice, pain, and humanity. Yet while he lived, the media often chose a different narrative. Instead of honoring his genius and his heart, they picked him apart, mocked him, and pushed stories that shaped public perception in ways that still linger today. It's one of the greatest contradictions of our time, how someone who brought so much light was surrounded by so much darkness in the public eye. In The Crucifixion of Michael Jackson, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan breaks this down with clarity and depth. He speaks to the spirit of our brother Michael, not just the superstar, but the man. A man who stood for truth, who challenged power in his own way, and who carried a level of purity that this world often misunderstands and, at times, attacks. Now, as the world prepares to revisit his life through a new film, we have a responsibility. Not to recycle the same narratives that once tried to tear him down, but to celebrate him properly. To honor the music, yes, but more importantly, to honor the message, the compassion, and the courage he carried. Michael Jackson gave us more than entertainment. He gave us reflection. Songs like They Don't Care About Us weren't just records, they were statements. He wasn't afraid to speak on oppression, suffering, and injustice, even when it came at a cost.

Got to see the singer of simple songs, the McCartney of country music, take his final bow last night. To say this man wrote the soundtrack of my life is an understatement. Along with Leonard Cohen, he was my father’s favorite artist, I soaked up all of his brilliant records from Here in the Real World onwards as a kid. The iconic Brent Mason guitar licks, the way his lyrics would dart between profound poetry and equally profound simplicity, his invisibly perfect phrasing and deft instinct for singing singing or just being a transparent vessel for a genius melody or lyric that didn’t need any extra sauce. Tonight he stood on stage with his band the Strayhorns, many of whom have been by his side since his early days playing honky tonks four decades ago, and played a set that rarely betrayed the import of the occasion. We got to tour him twice in Australia, the first being a particularly momentous occasion in the history of country music down under, and tonight’s show wasn’t that different to any of those on those tours. About fifteen or so of the great country songs ever written - wry, sad, inspirational, heartbreaking - put across with dazzling sincerity and charisma from a man who has served as the North Star of an entire genre since he started putting out records. Alan Jackson is country music and country music is Alan Jackson, and tonight I was supremely grateful for both. #alanjackson #countrymusic

Daniel Rodriguez provides an update on his arrest in Mexico and the time he spent behind bars: “I crossed the border into Mexico and forgot I had a little bag of weed with me, man. It was under an ounce, and I got pulled over at the line and checked. The border patrol were tripping over the weed, and I was thinking I was only going to be in there for the weekend, maybe a little bit shorter. But man, the laws over there in Mexico are way different—they don’t play no games. What I thought would be a little weekend, or maybe overnight, turned into eight months.”

Predator gets exposed in front of his wife by police. The detective was smooth as silk getting him to crack. It started with a cyber tip and ended in a federal investigation. Investigators flagged a Dropbox account uploading and storing child sexu@l ab*se material (CSAM). It took detectives a month of tracking digital breadcrumbs to pin the IP address to a quiet residential home in Algonquin, Illinois. What they found inside was a modern digital predator operating right under his family's nose. The Algonquin Police Department executed a search warrant on the residence of 27-year-old Thomas Jackson. Once read his Miranda rights, Jackson didn't hold back. He admitted to a deep, long-standing addiction to illicit material dating back to when he was a minor. But it went far beyond just viewing—Jackson was actively hunting. Jackson revealed a calculated process for hunting online: He heavily utilized popular gaming platforms—specifically Roblox—to first make contact and establish rapport with young girls. Once contact was made, he moved the conversations to apps like Snapchat, Kik, and Discord using the handle ZEFT98. He confessed to grooming and soliciting explicit content from 4 to 5 minors, explicitly detailing one victim he estimated to be only 10 to 12 years old. Following a thorough forensic sweep of his computers, phones, and hard drives, the state hammered Jackson with federal-level digital evidence. Jackson pleaded guilty to multiple counts, including possession of a moving depiction of explicit materials. The court handed down a sentence that included only 30 days of jail time, 30 months of probation, $4,000 in fines, and a lifetime mandate to register as a sex offender. As for his personal life? The swift hammer of reality hit immediately. His wife filed for divorce just weeks after the raid February, and by April, she was officially free of him. How do you feel about this guy only getting 30 days in jail? Justice served or more Illinois soft on crime?
