I believe the bar for greatest recruiting class ever starts at 2014 for Penn State. Bo Nickal, Jason Nolf, Anthony Cassar, Nick Nevills and Shakur Rasheed. You will be hard pressed to find a class that has not one but TWO, three-time NCAA Champs/four-time finalists (Nolf and Nickal). They added another NCAA Champion with relatively unknown Anthony Cassar out of New Jersey. California big man Nick Nevills made the podium twice, while Shakur Rasheed proved effective from 165-197, placing once at 197 pounds. This group was part of a core nucleus for Penn State that won four team titles as well. Nolf and Nickal were preposterous bonus point scorers, 61 pins and 27 techs for Nolf, 59 pins and 12 techs for Nickal. Combined record of 235-6. For me, that's the bar! Which class do you think is better? IS this the greatest recruiting class of all time?

The gap is not closing on its own. Microsoft and Google have both flagged the electrician shortage as a top constraint on U.S. data center expansion. For decades, the U.S. pushed every student toward a four-year degree. Trade enrollment fell, apprenticeship pipelines thinned out, the workforce aged and was never replaced. Now the bill is coming due at the worst possible time. BlackRock also invested over $3 billion in the bonds financing Meta's Hyperion data center, part of a $27 billion private debt deal, the largest ever structured for a single project. It is now funding both the AI buildout and the workers needed to finish it. AI is not automating the electrician. AI is the reason the electrician now has more leverage than ever. Every model, every data center, every autonomous system runs on physical infrastructure that only a credentialed tradesperson can legally build and energize. The technology that was supposed to replace blue-collar work turned out to need blue-collar work more than any other sector right now.

Yesterday, at the public hearings of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament, I asked a very simple Public Interest Question of the Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Reverend Amishaddai Owusu-Amoah. My very simple question was which year did he attain the age of 60. Boom! Drama began. My Colleagues on the NPP side got upset with my question and a 90 minute stand off ensued including a mysterious 'fault' with the PA system . After the 90 minute break, I manage to get a response from him and I am allowed only one follow up question by the Chairman. That question was if the Commissioner-General had a valid contract to remain at post. He answered that for the past twenty seven (27) months, he has occupied the position without a contract. Now for those wondering why I asked these questions, here are the issues; 1. Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai turned 60 years in October 2021, twenty seven (27) months ago. 2. Per the Public Service Commission of Ghana regulations, anyone above the age of 60 can be maintained with a 1/2-year contract with the possibility of an extension of another year. 3. Since October 2021, Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai has been at post and carried out functions as the Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority without a contract. He has signed contracts like the dubious $100 million SML sweetheart deal with the approval and support of Ken Ofori-Atta. 4. Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai replaced Mr. Kofi Nti as Commissioner-General when the later still had 18 months of his four (4) year contract outstanding. The reason his contract was terminated was that he had turned 60 years. 5. The question we need answers to is why Ken Ofori-Atta has kept his darling Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai at post for another twenty seven (27) months without a contract? 6. The same Ken Ofori-Atta told Parliament that President Akufo-Addo had given instructions that contract extensions beyond the age of 60 would cease except in exceptional cases where the skill of the individual in question is unique and not readily available. What skill does Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai have that is unique and for which reason the laws of the country have been broken? 7. Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai cannot and should not be allowed to continue his stay in office even one day longer. Yesterday, at the public hearings of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament, I asked a very simple Public Interest Question of the Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Reverend Amishaddai Owusu-Amoah. My very simple question was which year did he attain the age of 60. Boom! Drama began. My Colleagues on the NPP side got upset with my question and a 90 minute stand off ensued including a mysterious 'fault' with the PA system . After the 90 minute break, I manage to get a response from him and I am allowed only one follow up question by the Chairman. That question was if the Commissioner-General had a valid contract to remain at post. He answered that for the past twenty seven (27) months, he has occupied the position without a contract. Now for those wondering why I asked these questions, here are the issues; 1. Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai turned 60 years in October 2021, twenty seven (27) months ago. 2. Per the Public Service Commission of Ghana regulations, anyone above the age of 60 can be maintained with a 1/2-year contract with the possibility of an extension of another year. 3. Since October 2021, Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai has been at post and carried out functions as the Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority without a contract. He has signed contracts like the dubious $100 million SML sweetheart deal with the approval and support of Ken Ofori-Atta. 4. Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai replaced Mr. Kofi Nti as Commissioner-General when the later still had 18 months of his four (4) year contract outstanding. The reason his contract was terminated was that he had turned 60 years. 5. The question we need answers to is why Ken Ofori-Atta has kept his darling Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai at post for another twenty seven (27) months without a contract? 6. The same Ken Ofori-Atta told Parliament that President Akufo-Addo had given instructions that contract extensions beyond the age of 60 would cease except in exceptional cases where the skill of the individual in question is unique and not readily available. What skill does Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai have that is unique and for which reason the laws of the country have been broken? 7. Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai cannot and should not be allowed to continue his stay in office even one day longer. Today I’m releasing my first feature length movie - “OJAI”. An experimental sci-fi drama film. Filmed all the way back in 2020, and finally releasing today. You can watch it here on X in 1080p, or go to the film’s website for a higher quality Vimeo/YouTube version: As this movie uses zero AI (just some good old fashioned VFX with After Effects!), it is definitely a bit different than the usual Heavy Pulp content that you’re used to seeing on this page, so wanted to offer up some context below if you’re interested: This movie was written, directed, produced and edited by yours truly, and filmed alongside an indie film crew comprised of some incredibly talented people almost 6 years ago. The script was written over the course of 2 years from 2018 through early 2020. Production filmed over the course of 27 days in September of 2020 on location in Ojai, CA with a very indie and now fully exhausted budget, and then edited for nearly 6 years. Now, it’s releasing out into the world. This 2 hour film wouldn't exist without the support of friends, family, faithful crew members and colleagues who believed in the project even when the road ahead was unclear. It wouldn't exist at all without the enormous reserves of patience, skill, love, and dedication poured into it by the cast and crew. There have been so many lessons learned and so much experience gained by making this movie. That alone has made this film well worth it. As the script was inspired by real events and circumstances in my own life, there is a very real emotional arc running through it no matter how surreal or “indie” the movie may get at times. Because of that, I will always look back on this project and the process creating it with absolute reverence. Making this movie has been one of grandest adventures that I have ever undertaken, and I hope you find something redeeming in it too! Already on to the next big project. Enjoy!
