28 years ago… Channel 5 was launched…

28 years later and it's still shit!🤣

We couldn’t get a signal for it I was so disappointed I saw the start of the countdown Then it went off 😆

I remember watching Sunset Beach when it started on Channel 5 back in March 1997.

I remember the countdown onscreen timer fading as the last 5 seconds started ticking

It launched on the 30th of March 1997 at 6pm as Britain's fifth (and final) terrestrial TV channel. The TV listing magazines were soon updated (TV Times,Radio Times,What's On TV - the only one that's still standing since 1991) ever since.

I had no idea it was only launched in 1997. I thought it was well before that
