Napoleon’s version⁉️ Napoleon says Snoop was Death Row’s biggest star when Pac arrived in 1995‼️. Pac immediately took the shine: *All Eyez on Me*, the energy, the interviews, the myth‼️. This is the perfect Mother’s Day song. My wife wrote a song called "Mama Bird" a few years ago that perfectly captures the love of a Mom for their kids. I pushed her to record it but life always got too busy. I finally took initiative and got her studio time this week so she’d record it. This is "Mama Bird" from our Mama Bird at the Starbuck house, Landon Starbuck. I hope y’all love it as much as we do. This song and video captures everything that life’s about for us. For the Mom’s watching, I’m curious to hear how connected you felt to the song’s lyrics. Send this to your Momma’s and let them know you love them. In a world with tons of meaningless or outright evil music, we need more music like this and to support artists with good values who make meaningful music. Oh and yes, the song’s available on Spotify and should be on the other services sometime between today and the end of the week, depending on when they get it up.

31 years ago today, Smif-N-Wessun release their debut LP, Dah Shinin’, on Wreck/Nervous Records. a benchmark for hardcore east coast hip-hop, and one of my favorite LP’s of all-time. pure brilliance. 30+ years later, it still eats at me that The Source only gave it 3 mics. If anything is a 5 mic classic, it’s this LP.

matthew's thoughts about zb1's last concert as 9... 🦊 how was it during makcon (encore con d3)? it was fascinating really... i... on the 2nd day it felt like everything hit me at once, like "wah... this is really the last concert" so i was really sad on the 2nd day and on the last day i was sad but it was kinda... i looked at this (view on stage/overall surroundings?) for the last time and just took in the beauty of it. i was so thankful and i think i kinda just looked at it prettily “one last time”

Ice says he’s usually not a fan of artists naming albums after their classics, but he’s not mad The Game called this one “Documentary 3.” Joe disagreed. He thinks he shouldn’t have done it. Ice also made an interesting point: listening to this album, he finally understood why The Game is viewed a certain way on the West Coast ; it’s because he actually sounds more like an East Coast rapper. His flow, his beats, all East Coast influenced. This album, though, leans West Coast, and Ice says counting this one, that’s now 2 or 3 albums in his catalog that sound distinctly West Coast.
