Yes the plastic and petrochemicals leach into the hot coffee and cause cancer.

Is this only a problem with hot beverages, or should they be generally avoided?

Moved to coffee at home. Thankfully.

My method of detoxification is spirulina. It chelates heavy metals. It’s an ingredient in Naked Green Machine.
