Based on the WWDC 2026 leaks, I tried to recreate the iOS 27 revamped Siri interaction inside the Dynamic Island in swift ui with lots of different settings and some custom shaders. And yeah, if it’s like that, it will be kinda boring going from a rainbow like ui to a monochrome one.

Users can actually control how much Liquid Glass they want instead of being forced into a single design choice. I think Apple’s design direction for the iPhone is moving away from what I would consider as “simplicity” to “playfulness” lately. I personally don’t think most of these are bad in terms of how they look (they are actually beautiful), but I feel like they just look a little off next to other iOS visual elements. For example: • Action button settings • Dynamic Island animations • Much more bouncy Control Centre animations • Redesigned iMessage attachment/“+”menu
