3. I've been mentioning this Kafkaesque 'Tesla doors staying closed' fire hazard since .. 2013 And nothing happened, so I started documenting A simple test: Tesla Y (dark) into another EV (white VW ID.6), at only 64 km/h - 40 mph Watch what happens to the Tesla driver door:

2. Being there within seconds after this German crash (just meters across the road) with 0fire extinguishers Still crying now since you heard those people screaming in the Tesla. And could do .. nothing (Video below is same model Tesla, same batteries)

1. In nearly all of those 148: Tesla doors stayed .. closed Meanwhile: Nissan Leaf, on road since 2009 + best sold single EV model worldwide on 1-1-2020: Zero fire deaths .. Germany 12 days ago: Tesla driver + two 9-year olds burned alive. All doors closed, rescuers helpless..

4. Now watch what happens to both EV batteries áfter this crash: White = VW Dark = Tesla In this simple yet untested in all (!) "safety tests" scenario: crashing at only 64 km/h Notice any 'differences' ? Reminder: damaged batteries = why Teslas explode so absurd violently

This is crazy stuff. I can't believe those cars are legal.

So how does Tesla earn the highest safte rating world wide every year then? somethings wrong here, if the Door is severely damaged it wont open, just like any other car after a big impact. Fact is, Teslas are safer over all, Tesla saves more live than others!

The Tesla has deformations of the pillar and door, while the other cars don't. That's an expected reason why doors get jammed. That's why first responders use chain saws to open cars. The other cars don't show the same, and I can't say from this clip that they are all in the same test. Also, the car didn't catch fire, which statistically is a very rare occurrence. So here's another theory: the Tesla is absorbing impact better, potentially saving more passenger lives in the process.

The Tesla deforms door pillars over 3x (!) more, than the other car in the same -moderate- head-on crash An absurd 50 mm, two inches .. Unabling anyone in the Tesla to get out, or get in for help And your 'conclusion' is: Tesla is saving more lives ..

I'm going to leave it here. Have a nice day

Anecdotal situations don't prove anything. Statistics matter, and they show that EVs are less likely to be involved in fires. Also, remember ICE cars also have a battery, right next to a fuel tank, and a motor that literally ignites and explodes the fuel to move the car.

The '70s Ford Pinto was taken out of production for 27 fire deaths. After 3,2 million produced At 3.2 million produced Tesla had 2.5 times MORE fire deaths PS: nothing, nada to do with "EV" Nissan Leaf since 2009 has .. zero fire deaths Tesla now: 151 (!) burned alive inside..

It's not very difficult to search each case: The 1970s Ford Pinto did not result in a production halt, but a voluntary recall for a fuel tank design flaw that caused fires in rear-end collisions, with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) documenting 27 fire-related deaths and 24 non-fatal injuries from 1970 to mid-1977. After a 1978 recall to add a fix for the fuel tank, Ford continued Pinto and Mercury Bobcat production until 1980, with over 3 million vehicles ultimately produced. Nissan Leafs, even to this day, are having recalls due to possible fire issues. Their battery problems have been constant since inception. Plus, you are comparing two cars that are driven way slower than what a Tesla can, the risks of fires are obviously bigger when you crash at higher speeds. That doesn't mean the car is less safe.

You can gaslight all you want 2,5x more people burned alive per Tesla (than in a piece of antique trash '70s Ford Pinto: "worst fire hazard car in history" .. ) Which went out of production after 27 fire deaths, at 3,2 million 151 burned alive in a Tesla Zero in a Nissan Leaf

Video does NOT show him trying to open the Tesla rear door, only VW. trying to give impression of Tesla fail yet conveys biased review
