3. Most professors aren't true intellectuals anymore. They've become hyper-specialized robots, unable to engage in discussions beyond their narrow expertise. This intellectual isolation prevents the cross-pollination of ideas that drives real innovation.

This is Gad Saad. His research on how bad ideas infect society made him an international bestseller in 20+ languages. He regularly goes viral on X. Yesterday, on Joe Rogan, he exposed why "mind viruses" have become so common. The 12 most powerful insights Gad Saad shared🧵

1. Our brains are wired to resist change. Leon Festinger discovered something fascinating: The mental gymnastics we'll perform to maintain cognitive consistency are incredible. We'll literally create elaborate justifications just to avoid changing our minds.

2. Science has a dangerous blind spot. Gad's groundbreaking study revealed it: When his research found no significant effects across 16 measures, journals rejected it. Why? Because "null results" don't get published. This creates a massive skew in scientific literature...

4. The solution? The "Consilience Institute" A revolutionary vision where different disciplines unite under evolutionary theory: • Filmmakers exploring human nature • Architects designing for biology • Writers tapping universal patterns

5. We're fighting our evolutionary programming. Consider our relationship with food: we evolved in an environment of scarcity, craving fatty foods for survival. But in today's world of abundance, these same instincts work against us.

6. This evolutionary lens transforms everything. We're discovering how our ancient programming affects modern life. From the buildings we design to the medicine we practice, understanding our evolutionary roots changes everything.

7. The ego is our biggest enemy. We don't just hold ideas - we become them. When someone challenges our beliefs, it feels like they're attacking us personally. This emotional attachment makes rational discussion nearly impossible.

8. The solution isn't more information. It's about fundamentally changing how we relate to our beliefs. We need to separate our identity from our ideas, staying open to evidence that might prove us wrong.

9. Real communication isn't about winning. The best conversations happen when both sides genuinely want to understand each other. This is why long-form discussions are replacing quick soundbites and gotcha moments.

10. The future belongs to those who share ideas effectively. In a world drowning in noise, these qualities matter most: • Clear thinking • Authentic voice • Building trust

11. Most great thinkers stay hidden. They're too busy doing the work to build a presence. Their valuable insights never reach the people who need them most. This creates a massive knowledge gap in society.

12. The solution is systematic. Just like evolution optimizes for efficiency, we need systems that work while we sleep. Building once and benefiting forever - that's how you scale your impact.

The most important takeaway: The best ideas don't win by default. They win through systematic distribution. And in today's world, that means one thing... Your personal brand is your evolutionary advantage:

Just like natural selection favors the fittest, the market favors those who can spread their ideas effectively. When you build trust before the first meeting, opportunities find you: • Sales • Investors • Top talent This creates a powerful flywheel effect...

Your reputation precedes you in every room. Top talent reaches out first. You can get in touch with anyone you like. Gad's insights reveal: In a world where AI can build any product in hours, your ideas become your most important assets. But only if you share them... Ready to start?

Robots that climb skyscrapers to clean and inspect them! 🧼 Verobotics has built autonomous robots that clean and scan building exteriors, allowing building owners to proactively maintain and upkeep their buildings faster, cheaper, and smarter. The problem is decades old. The only way to clean or inspect a building's exterior has been to lower a person from a BMU (Building Maintenance Unit) at the top of the building. BMUs are heavy, can be out of service, complicated to operate, and limit cleaning to a couple of times per year. Their robots are lightweight, portable, and need no equipment on the roof. One person can deploy multiple robots to the building's facades and let the robots do the rest. Once they're done, the building owner not only has a clean building but also a digital twin of the building exterior for documenting health and identifying issues before they become risks. Robot spots a crack? Noted! They're equipped with onboard cameras that scan the surface, detect window frames to crawl over, and ensure not a spot is missed. That means a consistent result and thorough inspection every time. Onboard sensors continuously detect motion, location, and the surface beneath and around it. The data feeds to a hub that analyzes the surface in real time, building datasets that become the backbone of a digital twin for predictive maintenance. Love seeing the specialized robots bringing value from day 0! :) ~~ ♻️ Join the weekly robotics newsletter, and never miss any news →

The ban on #cousinmarriage is one explanation for the origin of The West's genius & exceptionalism I discuss this in my TRIGGERnometry interview 👇 Harvard's Prof J Heinrich argues that the Western mind evolved differently & was a global anomaly because of the 9th century Western (Catholic) Church's ban on cousin marriage. Up to that point, the structure of societies across the globe was defined by kinship clans - large extended families where your first, second, third, fourth cousins were as much part of the family as brothers and sisters. These clan societies were based upon nepotism, obedience to authority and conformity. Strangers were regard with distrust and hostility. In the West, the ban on marriage between certain degrees of consanguinity resulted in the birth of the nuclear family, which didn't exist elsewhere. Today, 75% of the world still has cousin marriages. According to Heinrich, approx. 90% of the world doesn't have the same notion of the exclusive nuclear family that we have. The birth of the Western nuclear family devoid of its external connections to clanship, directly let to the emergence of individuality and innovation. With kinship clans destroyed, the nuclear family had to rely on contact with strangers. This led to the development of high levels of social trust in the West. Social trust is one of the most important criteria for a society's economic prosperity and social cohesion. With high levels of social trust, these medieval European nuclear families were able to come together & cooperate for their mutual benefit. They achieved this, for example, by establishing guilds, confraternities, universities and charter towns. These uniquely Western institutions helped to foster the cross-pollination of ideas and skills, through which innovation exploded. The exclusively Western notion of individualism was core to this, as well. And much of that is due to Protestantism. I explain all this in greater detail in this video:

Sam Altman on what startup ideas actually work “What you are looking for are good ideas that look like bad ideas. These are things that you can articulate why there’s a reason this is going to be huge that most of the world is missing. Unfortunately, what most people end up chasing are bad ideas that look like good ideas. I would say this is where 90% of all angel capital in the startup ecosystem goes.” Sam elaborates on why founders and investors alike make this mistake so frequently: “The one common way that people make this mistake (pursuing bad ideas that look like good ideas) is chasing the thing that worked two years ago. If you ever find yourself doing that, be very skeptical. If you find yourself tempted to invest in a company where there are hundreds of others working on the same thing, be very skeptical. If you find yourself tempted to invest in something that the founders work super hard to convince you is not going to be a long-term commodity, be very skeptical. It is absolutely true that you want something that has real pricing power that comes from a network effect, a moat, a barrier to entry, whatever it is. But when that’s true, it’s so obvious. So the more a founder tries to sell you on why they’re super differentiated and why they have this long-term competitive advantage, the more skeptical you should be.” He continues: “I have found this framework of asking, ‘Is this a good idea that seems bad? Or is this a bad idea that seems good?’ has helped me make good decisions a bunch of times.” Source: Y Combinator (Mar 2018)

🔥🇺🇸 MAGA UNIVERSITIES With a Charlie Kirk “FREEDOM QUAD” Imagine an kid who never went to college leading to being the foundation for these news schools. I’ve been dreaming of this for years and what happened on 9/10/25 just cemented to EVERYONE that we have a MASSIVE PROBLEM with these teachers/professors being the THOUGHT LEADERS of these absolute incubation camps for Leftists/Bolsheviks. These schools needs to be AMERICA CONSTITUONAL LIBERTY FREE SPEECH CENTRIC. You place the Emphasis on American history as the beacon of freedom as the light on the hill. We create THE ALTERNATIVE in the free market ideals Charlie Kirk always wanted to share in the RADICAL LEFT Universities and ITS the only way to defeat the EMBED BOLSHEVIKS. All the money should be cut off to Federal Funding of these schools.. They could be the TRUE ELITE schools focusing on the Math/History/Science & Politics but above all else WHAT MAKES AMERICA THE LAST BASTION OF HOPE AGAINST THE TYRANNY OF EVIL THAT IS ALWAYS ON THE MARCH. And why “The Constitution” prevents this nature in human evil souls who just seek power. People don’t want to send their kids to these indoctrination camps ANY LONGER. In their minds they are beginning to realize that giving these HATE DENS fracture their childrens critical thinking and drives wedges between families by design. They don’t want to send their kids to school to get a 300k useless piece of USELESS PAPER they call DEGREES. You start at Kindergarten & go through college. The registration would be FILLED YEARS IN ADVANCE AND WE WILL BANKRUPT THE WOKE COLLEGES BY SHOWCASING THE BANKRUPTCY OF THEIR IDEAS. “WOKENESS is a religion without forgiveness and its followers are the most INTOLERANT PEOPLE IN AMERICA” - Charlie Kirk
