Local 10’s Michaila Hightower was at MIA when a boy as young as 3 or 4 was heard screaming and crying while moving through the security area. As Aiden prepared to leave for Guatemala, the child’s grief was visible inside the airport. “They took us from our parents, and now this is taking us from our brother,” said Jessica Domingo, Wendy and Aiden’s sister. The trauma these kids are experiencing will be with them for the rest of their lives. We are creating mental illnesses. They will have neurosis and personality disorders, PTSD, failure to bond disorders. Trump's government has harmed these children for the rest of their lives.

OMG. 💔💔💔 I'm mortified and ashamed of what we've become as a nation. This process is damaging children's lives to instill global fear. It doesn't have to be like this. No excuses—cruelty is cruelty.
