This shot was pure tv cinema! 😢

My wallpaper since 2020.

At least this time I’m awake for your goodbye. Probably the saddest line in the show.

the simpsons when its time to make the most beautiful music youve ever heard

I cry every time that I see that chapter

It amazes me how on point old Simpsons could be. Even the most pronounced gag in this scene, the "D'oh!", is a tearjerker of a connection between the two. They really are parts of each other. There's something beautiful about Homer's clumsiness if it ties him to a lovely woman

Makes the perfect phone background

Since my dad passed away, I think about this scene a lot.

When I was a kid (before I cried at the credits), I thought when the hippy said that they had "20 minutes of juice left" that they only had 20 minutes until their juice maker would run out of actual juice or something.

Its scenes like this that really makes homer the better father between him and Peter griffin, while they are both idiots in their own right. Family guy relies on humor to explain why peter does what he does. In homers case hes been severely neglected of a mother and a good father

"D'oh!" means, once a Simpson, always a Simpson. Really emotional part between Homer and Mona. 😭❤️

Written by Richard Appel, whose wife's name was Mona Simpson. Fun Fact: She is the sister of Steve Jobs

Whoa, a wholesome ending for Homer! Rare.

Brad Bird AND Danny Elfman worked in this episode? Dang

Danny Elfman did the theme song so he is automatically credited everytime. While Brad Bird used to work on The Simpsons within the golden age

im in a simpsons group on facebook and someone made this for me when my dog passed away, it'll be 2 years next week. gives me so much comfort

WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME?!? 😭😭😭

This hits so hard years later.... reminds me of when my grandma passed a few years ago. I stayed up all night listening to old voicemails of her voice telling her how much she loved me or how she missed my call but loved hearing my voice outside on my porch with the moon & stars.

I've only cried at 4 things in my life. This is one

The greatest scene in the entire series.

My phone background 💙

This scene indicates so much. Homer didn’t immediately go home, but he didn’t go to Moe’s or fast food to numb his pain. Instead he stayed right here to contemplate if his mother, who left him again, was looking up at the same moon as him. A common solace for those missing family

The simpsons was not only the funniest damn show out there, but it had incredible heartfelt moments every single chapter Season 4 is a tears festival and i love it bc of that

His "then why did she leave me" line, gets me every time.

❤️ homie is always there

It's enough to make a grown man cry

Le plan à la fin

dont remind me of this again man

this is the only Simpsons material to make me cry

Guess which show retconned this
