37 years ago today, Tecmo Bowl was released

Sports gaming HOF. This entire series by Tecmo Bowl shaped the sports sim genre. I’d even wager to say that Madden series would not exist without this game’s popularity laying the foundation.

Sweet game!🏈

THE GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME…PERIOD! 👀

Best Family Guy scene ever

I prefer the original Tecmo Bowl over Tecmo Super Bowl. As a numbers-guy, I enjoy having the season statistics displayed on the field at all times. While I update TSB annually, this gets love from from me every 2-3 seasons (This video is from the 2024 release). @TheTecmoBowl

Best game Ever!!!! I bet it several times with every team!!!! Love this game 🇺🇸😆

anyone ever had a password for it?

37 years later they still can't catch Bo........

Still fun today. It was one of the first sport games that wasn't fun to play in person solely because you could talk smack and get in a first fight with your brother, but the game was actually fun. I always thought RBI shoulda went the same route of Tecmo Super Bowl.

Marino on techno bowl was off the chain

I was unstoppable with Miami.

Still got it upstairs. And will still give out work💪🏾

Super Tecmo Bowl was the best. I was well before my time playing the Chiefs. Derrick Thomas with 22 sacks a game and the “Nigerian Nightmare” Christain Okoye busting 50 yard runs. Classic!

Bo Jackson was unstoppable
