3D artist and developer Pablo Dobarro shared updates on CozyBlanket, a dedicated retopology application built from the ground up for the iPad. Equipped with a custom CPU viewport capable of handling millions of polygons from ZBrush sculpts or unprocessed photoscans, the tool lets artists draw clean, quad-based edge flows... show more

This looks like something that could be automated.

This is only practical if you want to sit in a coffee shop all day long.

This reminds me of the skin wrap modifier in blender, pretty much how I do retopo (If I ever bother to do retopo at all) It creates vertices that hug the base mesh just like this.

Re-topology is a ball ache. It's just maths and logical optimisation. 3D developers should not have to deal with this headache in 2026 and beyond. Bad topology is a depict able pattern that we can solve.

@Parsley3D

amazing tool

He abandoned work on the other two apps I made a upgraded version of a previous app and then double the price…

didnt they also make a desktop version?

He flat out blocks and ignores people on his discord for asking for help, information or any form of criticism

retopo in 2026?

Retopo is where my Blender students lose the most time, so a dedicated tool that handles millions of polys smoothly is a big deal. Curious how it deals with symmetry and edge-flow guidance. Following this one.

Oh wow another retopo demo showing nice broad mostly flat surfaces
