Do you drive around America in this game or are there other countries available to drive around?

Project Genie is a Google Labs experiment that lets you simulate dynamic worlds you can navigate in real time with Genie, our general-purpose world model. Today, we’re connecting Project Genie to nearly 20 years of Street View data from Google Maps — so you can now build interactive spaces based on real-world locations. Street View imagery in Project Genie is available now for places in the U.S., and will expand to more locales over time. #GoogleIO

Google Maps helps you get from A to B. SuperSplat makes you feel like you're actually there. Built on 3D Gaussian splatting tech from PlayCanvas, photorealistic captures of real-world places stream to your browser in seconds. The best bit? It's all free and open source! [1/2]

Elon Musk in new interview: "10 years from now, probably 90% of all distance driven will be driven by the AI in a self-driving car. It will be quite a niche thing in 10 years to actually be driving your own car." AI already drives for 90%+ of the miles I travel.

This is pretty cool 👓 Google Announces Geospatial Creator powered by ARCore & Google Maps and it allows you to visualize, design, and publish world-anchored content by using Unity ! Few features available: 📌 Photorealistic 3D Tiles: Visualize the 3D geometry of the world and deploy location-anchored content accurately with high-resolution, photorealistic 3D tiles. 📌 Geospatial anchors: Place and anchor 3D content at any given latitude, longitude, and altitude with sub-meter accuracy in areas covered by Google Street View. 📌 Terrain anchors: Place and anchor 3D content with only latitude and longitude coordinates, using data from Google Maps to determine ground level. 📌 Rooftop anchors: Use rooftops to place and anchor 3D content with respect to the building geometry and terrain in areas covered by Google Street View. 📢 To get started with Unity follow these steps: #AR #Google

Step into the map with the Street View grounding feature in Project Genie from Google DeepMind and Google Labs. Announced at I/O, this research prototype uses locations from Google Maps Street View as a foundation, letting you generate and explore interactive, 360-degree virtual environments from just a text prompt or real-world starting place. Cool, right? But… How does it actually work? 🤔 As an experimental tool, Project Genie tackles the "blank space" problem (showing both what’s in front of the camera and behind it) by utilizing Street View data to realistically generate a 360-degree view of the location you selected as the starting point for your world to generate from. Worlds generated by Genie are far more dynamic and rich because they’re created frame-by-frame based on the world description and user actions. By predicting each subsequent frame, Genie is able to simulate what it looks like to swim across an ocean, or hike to the top of a peak, marking a massive shift in interactive media and simulation pipelines. What real-world place would you want to step into and explore?

T1 Keria 🇰🇷 on Pep Guardiola 🇪🇸: "I watch football quite often, and I tend to watch it from a tactical perspective [...] Pep Guardiola was the coach of a team I like, and he's also a coach I really like." "I get a lot of inspiration from watching football, I think organic play is important in LoL as well, so I keep finding inspiration in those aspects when I watch football."

👀 I used Luma to generate an extremely high quality A-pose 3D model of myself which I then used as an initial rig for some 8th Wall augmented reality and desktop 3D experiences.

What Happens when you bash Genie-3 (which is now hooked into Google Street View) INTO Google Omni? Something kind of fascinating! We know that Genie-3 tends to decohere the further you go, but Omni can keep it consistent AND add in real world details.

🚨 New Tutorial Alert 🚨 Rendering Google Earth Engine & Cloud-Optimized GeoTIFF Tiles in 3D with Google Earth In this tutorial, I demonstrate how to visualize Google Earth Engine tile layers and Cloud Optimized GeoTIFFs (COGs) directly in Google Earth’s 3D environment. This approach lets you bring together high-resolution historical imagery and Street View data into one powerful platform. It’s a simple but effective way to make your geospatial data more accessible—just like sharing a Google Doc link. 🔗 Notebook: ▶️ Video: #geospatial #googleearth #dataviz #earthengine

I’ve quite literally never experienced anything like this in an open world game, got flown for miles and miles and even over a major town! Without any load time! Dragon’s Dogma 2 has been such a cool experience so far

AI fully taking over 3D is inevitable you can now add 3D bg for 3D models inside 3d software using World Labs's Marble and.. view in real time and even use Octane's 3DGS to light up the model without adding lights this is impossible w/o AI
