3/n Chi Onwurah MP asks whether criminal damage—no matter how “creative”—will be exempt from being treated as terrorism. This is really turning into a who’s who of “we hate Britain.”

🚨 Thread: All of the pro-Palestine Action MPs trying to derail Security Minister Dan Jarvis as he lays out the motion to proscribe the thugs. First up—of course—Jeremy Corbyn. Jarvis’s response was beautiful: he reminded Corbyn of his past vote on Al-Qaeda. 🧵 1/n

2/n Stroppy student activist MP Zarah “We are all Palestine Action” Sultana out defending her heroes again—over their legal challenge, with a hearing set for Friday.

4/n Diane Abbott MP—keffiyeh off today—cited the UN letter opposing proscription, which included “expert” advice from noted antisemite Francesca Albanese. Jarvis nailed it: if the group had a different ideology, she and others would be demanding proscription.

5/n Islamist MP for Gaza, Adnan Hussain: “This heavy-handed approach threatens basic freedoms and sets a dangerous precedent for all political dissent in the UK.” Not surprising from the thug.

6/n Clive Lewis MP tried to equate the Suffragettes with modern-day Britain. Once again, Jarvis handled it beautifully.

7/n Islamist MP for Gaza, Shockat Adam, during Harriet Cross’s reply to Dan Jarvis: “The only acceptable form of protest is polite protest. That’s not protest — that’s permission.” She slaps him down beautifully — he didn’t like that. Lovely. “We do not support the right to criminal damage, to intimidation, or to threats to the public.”

8/n Islamist MP for Gaza, Ayoub Khan, gets the Harriet Cross treatment too after saying Palestine Action’s intent is different from the other two groups being proscribed. “If you’re using pyrotechnics against people escaping an attack by your organisation — that is intent. If you intend to damage RAF and MOD property by sabotaging jets at Brize Norton — that is intent.” Outstanding.

9/n Richard Burgon cites Amnesty International, Liberty, and UN “experts” like Francesca Albanese to justify opposing proscription. Laughable.

10/n Stroppy Islamist MP for Gaza, Zarah Sultana, shocked no one by ending her tirade with “We are all Palestine Action.” The "no, we're not" at the end. Lovely.

11/n Jeremy Corbyn uses a letter from the London Council of Mosques to justify opposing the proscription of Palestine Action. Of course he did.

12/n Kim Johnson: "Today’s push to proscribe Palestine Action, a non-violent direct action group, as a terrorist organisation is a disastrous turning point of historic proportions." They have been violent and it's a great day. "Palestine Solidarity Campaign has been prevented from protesting outside Parliament this evening..." You'd think she might be concerned about MP's safety?

Quite why these individuals are allowed in the country, let alone to act as MPs, is beyond me. Their loyalties and priorities clearly lie elsewhere.
