The fatwa's are actually not thesame. Dr. Idris was of the view that one can skip both Juma'ah and Dhuhr which is a different view from the rest and what you mentioned.

Wallahi Dr, I don’t know why pple r overzealous in justifying not praying d Zuhur. If d rewards were to be monetised, wallahi everyone will attend Eid, get the money and also haste to d Juma’a t ground to double d 💰. Then why not do as the Prophet SAW said: lnna mujammi’uuna 🤷♂️

What do the madhhabs say, please?

With regards to the first Hadith, there's too much reward to miss out on considering the prophet SAW made it permissible to do both. Add to that the fact the 10th of the blessed days is a Friday. Allah ya sa mu rabauta

Years back when I first heard of this fatwah, I was wondering -why not just attend both Eid and Jumu'a- until one day when work took me to a village and I saw the distance between some villages and the Jumu'a masjid. One of the things that came to my mind was this ruling
