Adding a 2.5 lb plate to each side is actually less work in terms of volume than gaining a full rep. Food for thought. Either way, Keep it up.

No 2.5lb plates. I only do 1 set per week of this exercise. For a while I was just going to failure, and when hitting 8 reps adding a 5lb plate per side. More recently, I mix weeks of 6-8 reps to 1 or 0 in reserve, and weeks of 12+ reps with a lighter weight to failure.

It's cheating unless it's on the barbell dude

It’s an exercise that targets my shoulders. My goal is to make my muscles bigger. Lift more weight over time for the same number of reps->bigger muscles. I’m not competing against anyone. How is it cheating?
