I open my windows even when it's cold. I love the fresh air. I don't open so much when it's 100 degrees in the south and humidity is at 98%. Your skin starts sliding off your body. At least it feels that way people in the south know exactly what I'm talking about.

Open your windows but not shoes inside because of pollution outside? Makes perfect sense
