4 PGA Tour stats every golfer needs to know

Thank you. Just got your book on audible

🤗🤝

99% of twitter golfers hit it to 6-7ft from 100-125yds. This is after a 300yd + drive from the tips.... into wind with their 7irons 🙄🙄

I knew most of that... But 80% from the trees I did not know. Definitely puts things into perspective. Thanks for sharing.

I question some of these stats especially the birdie. Good golfers average way more than 1 birdie per round. When I was young and was a 3 I averaged close to 3 birdies per round. Maybe if the average golfer was playing a tour level course you would be correct.

😂😂 got it Just have millions of shots from golfers all over the world to prove it

I mentioned the 100-125 stat and putting stat to some playing buddies recently and they couldn’t believe it!

C’mon! Are these stats adjusted for course rating? If not, it’s completely misleading. If a tour played the same muni course I play every week, he woukd blow these stats out of the water.

The putting one is a bit misleading. we don’t play the same greens conditions. I do have to remind myself that I hit a bad drive or have a bad chip so I shouldn’t expect par and should be happy with bogie

& a significant number of those birdies are from par-5s. This might be a @LouStagner stat, but avg pro is averaging a hair over par on Par 4s and Par 3s. Like 4.04. They might get a birdie on a par 4, but if they miss a GIR, they're giving it back ~1 in 3 times. Golf is hard.
