ATTN: TGSRTC -Kindly counsel your drivers that it's not recommended for large vehicles (4 wheelers too) to overtake from left side on crowded city roads. Better to stick to right lane after departure from bus stop and drive steady. All this weaving will not really get you ahead much, but exponentially increases risk of accidents because of the many blind spots around a bus. Left lane in city roads is best left for 2 & 3 wheelers. #RoadSafety #ArriveAlive

Shri Nitin Gadkari, even after paying all taxes and tolls, we still can't drive safely on highways. This is what I saw on NH-7 yesterday: wrong-side driving despite the other side being open, and that too in the fast lane. 2, 3, 4-wheelers, all of them. If one of them had crashed into me, they’d have received compensation, and I’d be stuck making rounds of the court. Please do something about this. It’s not an exception, it’s the norm. I’m sure all of us have faced wrong-side driving on highways.

FSD 14.2 STUNS IN WINTER DRIVING! Just got done driving ~100 miles on a snowy interstate and a little suburban driving. A few notes: FSD absolutely, definitively detects snow as a separate substance from rain. As the snow began to fall, there came a point where FSD first detected the snow and immediately slowed. From then on, it drove in a *completely different profile*. Generally, V14.2 kept 40-55mph on a 70mph interstate. When driving in Sloth/Chill and you try to increase the speed profile to Standard/Hurry, the truck displays a red error saying inclement weather is preventing FSD from speeding up. Fantastic! V14.2 takes corners slow as molasses to keep traction. It does NOT shoot gaps and pull out in front of other vehicles. V14.2 waits for BIG gaps to make its merge into traffic. It is properly cautious! One instance of Red Hands occurred when it was merging into a center left turn lane. This center lane was the only lane not plowed, so either 1. it got confused with lane markings or 2. Slid sideways very slightly and got upset. On straightaways on the interstate in areas with little snow coverage, V14.2 would speed up close to the speed limit. While the roads were wet today from road treatment, I was concerned for slick & frozen areas and manually backed off on the speed. While not technically unsafe, I did this out of an abundance of caution. IMO this is a grey area between "driving safely" and "not driving how I do" lol Not much ice today. Just snow and slush. ***Tonight, 6-12 inches of fresh snow is forecasted to fall here. I'll be out at dawn tomorrow to test in worse conditions with less traffic.*** Stay tuned.

A video from Pune’s Mundhwa-Kharadi Road is going viral on social media, showing an Innova Crysta allegedly being driven recklessly late at night. According to the person who shared the clip, the SUV was using flashing lights, cutting through traffic at high speed, and carrying a “VIP” sign on the vehicle despite HSRP number plate rules applying to all vehicles. This is from my visit to Nagaland for a Road safety session before HornBill festival in Nov 2024. Traffic jam in a remote section on the hills. Not a single policeman within miles… No road markings, potholes, bad roads, But Nobody crossing to wrong side. This is also India and they are also Indians. Why we on the plains are always finding excuses to break the rules. If you are a good person, you follow the rules, whether the cops are watching or not, that’s it. One Wrong Move Away From Disaster: Electronic city Flyover Bus Crash Exposes Dangerous Driving Culture Beware while driving at high speed on flyovers. This video is from the Electronic City flyover, where two buses collided with each other while trying to pass side by side on the narrow stretch of the flyover. Thankfully, there were no casualties, and only minor damage was reported. However, this incident raises a serious question what if this minor accident had turned into a major tragedy? Flyovers are not meant for risky overtaking or aggressive driving. At high speeds, even a small mistake can lead to catastrophic consequences, endangering not just the drivers but dozens of innocent passengers and other road users. In this case, both buses were from Tamil Nadu and were carrying passengers, making the situation even more alarming.Such incidents highlight the urgent need for patience, discipline, and responsible driving, especially on elevated roads where there is little room for error. It seems that Republicans are trying to gaslight everyone into believing that Dayanne Figueroa rammed into an ICE agent’s car… So let’s break down the video, frame by frame. 1. This is Chicago… a dense, urban area with traffic in every direction. 2. The street is two-way… you can clearly see another car driving toward the camera. 3. The ICE agent, in an unmarked vehicle, is sitting in the road. 4. They then make a very wide turn… onto the left side of the road. 5. At this point, the agent is driving on the wrong side of the road. 6. The ICE agent, seemingly unaware of their surroundings (never ideal while driving in a major city), tries to enter the correct lane… without signaling, and without checking to see if someone’s already in that lane. 7. And it turns out, someone was already in that lane… Note: A federal agent, in an unmarked vehicle, does not have the right of way unless they have their 🚨 on. The ICE agent did NOT have their 🚨 on. 8. So, the ICE agent made an improper and unsafe lane change and hit Dayanne Figueroa’s car. 9. Details shared by Kamlesh This incident belongs to Gujarat state, Bhavnagar - Ahmedabad highway and section before Pipali village. The incident happened on 4th November 2024 around 7:50 AM morning. The dangerous overtake by Toyota Innova car, reg No MH-04-DB-3969 could have resulted in Head to Head collision and very dangerous accident. The car had an accident and ran away. The driver didn’t have any courtesy to see what happened to the other vehicle nor to say sorry for his crime. in this video, the Hyundai car is moving in his lane with a moderate speed of 80kmph. The driver is driving in his lane. The traffic on the other side is also at moderate speed. And there is no space for overtake for any vehicle coming from the opposite side. Despite this stringent situation, a WagonR made an overtake and that was close. The ongoing Hyundai car made a bit of left squeeze to give more space to the coming Wagon R to shift to its lane without collision. and everything was all fine, The real danger starts now… at the back side, quite at distance, one innova car MH-04-DB-3969 driving with very high speed and making overtake of 2 trucks can be seen in the video, which can result in head to head collision to this Hyundai car. There was a chance that even if the ongoing Car could apply hard-braking, the accident may happen. The car driver tried to slow down and further squeezed to the left to avoid a crash but the Innova car came straight over the ongoing Car. Innova crashed into an ongoing Hyundai Car and damaged the Side mirror. This is very fortunate that the creta driver was very attentive and lucky that the unfortunate incident didn’t happen. The kids in the car were very much horrified and traumatized, which later father tried to calmed down by saying everything is fine and only side-mirror and some scratches on car body is there.. and nothing to worry.. pl dont cry.. Afterall the accident was very scary and the Innova car was almost on them and also hit their Car. Everytime the Police and administration is bombarding car drivers for Seat Belt and Seat belt has been made synonymous for road safety. I had already left ample space and was changing lanes smoothly, exactly like the Thar ahead of me. The driver did not behave this way with the Thar, but seeing my hatchback, he suddenly took a very sharp turn into my lane, despite having nearly 4 feet of free space on the side. I had actually begun changing lanes to give him way, yet he aggressively cut in front of my car at speed. I swerved right at the last moment and managed to save myself. Any other driver could have panicked in this situation especially with a wrong-side vehicle approaching at high speed and could have easily crashed into the road divider on the right. Despite having only 2–3 months of driving experience (around 3,000 km), I remained calm and avoided a serious accident. Unfortunately, my Qubo Pro X dashcam could not capture the car’s registration number, possibly due to the driver’s illegal high-intensity white headlights. This incident clearly deserves a challan for wrong-side driving at speed and for deliberately endangering another road user.

This incident clearly deserves a challan for wrong-side driving at speed and for deliberately endangering another road user.

The cyber truck saved us from an accident today around Indy, on the way home. Say what you will about FSD, but I would have never seen this idiot coming, and I never would have moved. He probably would have eaten the front of my truck. (Keep in mind, we are running 74mph... so he is driving his truck at well over 80, probably 90mph, and maneuvering like it's a sports car. ) Instead, the truck was driving, saw him coming from behind at a much faster rate, and dumped us into the emergency lane to avoid him... Who knows what would have happened, but thanks to FSD, we don't have to know. Elon Musk Thank you.

Today we had J.K. Trotter from Streetsblog New York City on The Finest Unfiltered to discuss his recent article about an NYPD cop whose registered vehicle has accrued 547 speed or red light camera violations in the last 4 years. Having 547 speed or red light camera tickets does not mean you are “reckless driving” or a danger to the public. If a cop has 5,444 camera tickets issued to his registered vehicle and 365 parking tickets a year issued to the same vehicle, like everyone else, as long as he or she is paying the fines there is no legal or administrative issue. These camera tickets do NOT fall on the driving record of the registered owner because constitutionally, under the 5th Amendment, they cannot. These fines were paid, so regardless if the registered owner is a cop, politician or anything else is irrelevant. Just because your registered vehicle was issued an inordinate amount of summons does not mean the registered owner was ever behind the wheel of that vehicle. Cops are entitled to due process and constitutional protections just like every other American. And for the record, in my opinion, most of these cameras are a complete money grab and do nothing to provide public or traffic safety. If you want people to slow down install speed bumps.
