Rail Infrastructure for a Level Crossing-Free Maharashtra! Inaugurated 4 Road Over Bridges (ROBs), 4 Underpasses (Subways) and 1 Road Under Bridge (RUB) across Maharashtra, jointly developed by Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation (MahaRail), the Government of Maharashtra and the Ministry of Railways, along with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari ji. Powering the Next Phase of Pune’s Growth Performed Bhoomipujan of Pune's 3 Elevated Highways; Pune-Shirur Elevated Expressway, Talegaon-Chakan-Shikrapur Elevated Highway and Hadapsar-Yavat Elevated Highway, along with Hon Union Minister Nitin Gadkari ji. Under the visionary leadership of our Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji and the guidance of Hon Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Ji, Pune is set to enter a new era of seamless connectivity and world-class infrastructure. As one of Maharashtra’s most prominent growth engines, Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad are entering the next phase of infrastructure transformation. These 3 landmark elevated corridor projects will strengthen the Pune Metropolitan Region (PMR) as a future-ready hub of connectivity, mobility and economic growth. The Pune-Shirur Elevated Corridor (53.4 km), the Talegaon-Chakan-Shikrapur Elevated Highway (53.2 km) and the Hadapsar-Yavat Elevated Highway (31 km) will decongest key corridors, improve connectivity and enable faster, seamless travel across the region. These corridors will significantly ease congestion and unlock the next phase of sustainable growth for the Pune Metropolitan Region. Designed with future Metro integration, the projects will be implemented through an innovative Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, ensuring efficient delivery while streamlining land acquisition and allied processes. This model will also generate an upfront premium of ₹950 crore for the Government, making these projects both infrastructure-driven and financially sustainable.
