You’re going to have to make your moves at the right distance and use double jabs! If you make your move too close you’ll get jammed, if you make it too far away, your guy will recover. When you jab one way and go, it can work, but most good defenders can recover from one jab. However, when you double jab, defenders bite hard on the second move and can’t recover from their recovery! Learning to jab with your stutters, skips, your head and shoulders, and even your stick will allow you to shift your defender’s weight! Last, change your angle of approach! Bar hop How It’s Done Start on one side of the stick with two targets at 7-10 yards and 1 yard apart. On the beep, engage the target directly in front of you with two shots, then engage the second target with two shots. Step over the stick and reengage the first target with two shots, and then the second target with two shots again. This drill is 8 shots total, with four on each target. Why It’s Done This drill is a great way to introduce movement into your training. If you're used to static shooting, this drill would be a great one to start with. It may be just one step, but getting your feet to do what they’re supposed to while shooting is harder than it looks. This drill also includes a couple of transitions, which will easily get you some Charlies and Deltas if you’re not careful. Things to Remember The goal is to make it sound like you're shooting one target. What I mean by that is you should try to shorten the time between targets and make the flow as smooth as possible. When you start and when you finish, be sure to check your stance. You don’t want to end up off balance. Bending your knees will help soften your movement. I just inscribed the FILTER module to Termina! You can now SEARCH and FILTER bitmap content and fields, powered by CRAWL and the WORLDTREE data! Go to: Try > filter content bitoshi blockamoto > filter type audio > filter address skynet > filter (type image) (timestamp 2023) > filter help Make sure you have the latest snapshot from WORLDTREE, or have run your own CRAWL and WORLDTREE (warning - these take a long time! I'll be looking into ways to make running these more accessible). Bring your own data: The help menu is your friend here! Please try as much as you can. You can filter single values, or multiple things at the same time with parenthesis. I've found so many inscriptions on Bitmap this way! Please have fun with it, and if you make a new inscription on Bitmap, be sure to run "crawl bitmap [range]" and "worldtree bitmap full [range]" on your district so you can search & filter, and make sure to add it to github via a pull request. This way we can share the latest snapshot data. If you want to build your own dataset, try using CRAWL and WORLDTREE. I warn you though, the CRAWL module especially will take days if you don't have 18 windows open each scanning a range (in which case it will take about 8 hours). Google co-founder Larry Page on why aiming bigger is often easier than playing it safe: He shares a philosophy he picked up early on that shaped how he thinks about ambition and goal-setting: "I went to a leadership seminar once in Michigan where I came from and they have this great slogan which is have a healthy disregard for the impossible." He explains what that actually means in practice: "You should set really stretched goals that you're not sure you can achieve but are sort of reasonable. You don't want completely outlandish goals." Then he shares the counterintuitive insight that took him by surprise when he was building Google: "One thing that I didn't quite realize when I was starting Google is that it's often easier to have aggressive goals." Most people assume the opposite. They pick smaller, safer targets because they seem more attainable. But Larry argues that approach actually works against you: "A lot of times people pick very specific things they want to do because they think they'll be easier to attain. And what happens if you're being more specific, smaller markets, that kind of thing, you also get less resources." The real question isn't how much you need to get started. It's whether your idea holds up: "The question is, can you make a really good case for what you're doing? Does it make sense? Do you have a really big advantage?" He gives a concrete example: "If you're building robots that are 10 times less complicated than your competitors, that's probably a good business, right? High-agency moves to prepare for AI job loss 1) Change where you live Imagine you learned you were never going to work again (at least not a corporate job). Where would you want to live? Ask yourself these four questions to figure it out: - Cultural and values alignment: where do I fit in? - Temperature and climate: where is the weather best for me? - Lifestyle affordances and pace of life: live fast or slow? Loud or quiet? - Cost of living: Can I lower my COL? 2) Make good investments Save money. Put it away. However much you make, save. Always live below your means. If you make $80k, act like you make $60k, and save the difference. If you make $200k, act like you make $120k and save the difference. The classical assets are - Stocks - Bonds - Rental properties I personally prefer ETFs for their accessibility and management. I don't have to worry about them. Just set and forget. Compounding returns, dividends. My father-in-law prefers rental properties.
