8 years ago today, Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer 1 was released What's most fascinating about this trailer is how different it is from the final game, with HUGE changes made across the board. 1) Arthur originally had a much longer coat as his default outfit This was later changed to match the iconic "gunslinger" outfit that we know and love today, this exact coat was completely cut.

2) The Heartlands is completely different The Heartlands shown to have had a more desert-ish biome rather than the green one we got in the final game This was done potentially due to the fact New Austin was added later in development, making it redundant to have two desert regions in the game

3) Mountains were moved All the mountains shown in the Grizzlies region here are different from the final game as the region was entirely designed late in development, causing much of what is shown, despite looking finished, to be changed.

4) Biome changes Another shot that shows off how the Heartland region was originally entirely different, I much prefer the final look, it is my favorite region in the game

5) RIP Barn This barn is completely gone in the final game and again since this is around The Heartlands region, the original brown-ish look is completely gone, replaced with natural green

6) Great Plains The Great Plains originally was closer to its RDR1 counterpart with the fact it had train tracks and a train! This was cut despite still having lines in-game from Uncle referring to a Blackwater train station still being present

7) Valentine's General Store the building was green, the trees in the background were different and there is now more snow on the mountain

8) Javier Escuella Javier originally had pretty different pants as seen here, far more stylish than the more simple outfit he got in the final game.

And that is pretty much all the differences I can point out today from this trailer to the final game!
