Red Dead 2 was downright revolutionary in how it made every NPC intractable, marking a gigantic leap in realism & roleplay opportunities. It’s going to be fascinating to see how GTA 6 advances this mechanic, as it alone put RDR2 above ALL games in interactivity and immersion

RDR2 NPC stuff is still ridiculous when you go back to it If GTA 6 pushes that even a bit further, just walking around Leonida is going to eat hours

Absolutely love how punchy the NPC interactions feel in this game. They don't halt you to have a conversation and are accessed with the same R1/R2 controls as shooting. It's so easy to see how they can build on this in VI, maybe greeting opens up a new dialogue tree of options.

just wait till we see how interactive GTA 6 is gonna be, it’s clear red dead 2 was the start of the “greet - antagonize” system… my prediction is that it’s gonna be way deeper now and we’ll get more NPC’s like valentine’s homeless man

I just wonder how they’re going to balance realism with the chaos of gta. Red Dead is a much more grounded series so the immersion only enhances the experience. Depends how the story will go. Though I could see gta 6 online suffering from realism similar to rdr2.

This wasn't exactly an impressive part of the game to me, seeing as interaction is usually just one of two buttons, but I guess I can see it. RDR2 has peak immersion regardless.

The setting of RDR2 was going to be the one thing that made me prefer it over GTA6 ... but... with the Everglades and mountains i think it just might pull it off. If I can go watch wildlife like in rdr2 I'll be happy 😌

I don’t think it’s going to have a better story than RDR2 (I think the story is going to be great, but RDR2 is hard to beat). However it’s going to be a very fun game will lots of fun minigames, sports, activities, side quests and the gameplay is going to be good.

It’s really interesting to see how much they have evolved that system with GTA VI. We shall find out on August 27th and probably even more after before the release!

Hopefully they expand it to more fleshed out greetings/antagonizing, maybe being able to pick what to say to npcs instead of just generic greet or antagonize.

Red Dead 2 was the most boring game i have ever played

We still don't know any of the features that'll make GTA VI unique to all the previous GTA titles. Will movement and driving physics of V remain? Go back to IV? How will NPCs react to being shot? Can we disarm and disable? How will the police system work this time? :O

I feel like the GTA 6 trailer this month is going to be truly mind-blowing. I can't wait

Hi Mr

I am so looking forward to GTA not being this silly opressor shit anymore. I hope the rumors it being shifted to realism like RDR2 is true.

Spot on. Rockstar really ruined other open world games for me with that mechanic.

Sincerely doubt GTA 6 will surpass Red Dead 2 in this regard. RD2’s slow, thoughtful pace allows it to seemingly have a soul. GTA is just chaotic, ridiculousness.

Watch Dogs 2 NPC interactions >>>>>> There's nothing special in RDR2, just 2 generic options

The evolution of things like this from rdr2 is why I'm so excited about this game

People need to calm down a little tho. Expecting the npc interactivity on same level in GTA is hardly possible. The amount of NPCs in comparison is insane. But we'll see

I was mind blown when I first saw the gameplay trailer, especially with the NPC system

You glaze this game way to often

I have thousands of hours invested in RDR2 and RDO. I have never put it down - outside of a few weeks since it's release in 2018. $500M+ Masterpiece*(IMO) Then.... Crimson Desert. 🤯 CD is worth the ⏰️/💵 $150M-175M - One more weekly update away from Masterpiece*(IMO)

Ya'll talk about RDR2 like it's the second coming of Christ, and still doubt Rockstar about GTA6.

Even the animals was realistic

They heavily improved on the interaction with npcs with this game last time I seen that was Bully before this released

And this was on the Xbox one and PS4

Love this game so much If anyone plays online on Xbox I'm always down to play 🤗🤗🤗

Rockstar needs to give them more narrative depth, like in Skyrim, and make them have practical uses, not just for hitting them or stuff like that. When they finish their performance, actors feel empty and soulless, without a destiny, without a soul, just with their routine.

it's gonna be NUTS, probably way more immersive than RDR2 considering that it's based on the modern era with the social media and stuff. Excited to see what the NPC interactions will be like here.

Hoped that more would follow but they didnt and stayed behind..
