Current IR says meh to hurricane strength. Not sure emerging convection can overcome land interaction. Photo finish perhaps.

Used to drive through High Island driving back from Beaumont to Galveston (home base) during Rita. The PD chief use to have a roadblock and was super rude to all of the adjusters driving through.
