Good morning Ginger! Thanks for the update. Looks like there’s a lot of trouble brewing right now for many of us across the country. Including my area here in Western New York. Prayers continue going out to all already impacted, and to those of us who might be about to 🙏

Current IR says meh to hurricane strength. Not sure emerging convection can overcome land interaction. Photo finish perhaps.

Used to drive through High Island driving back from Beaumont to Galveston (home base) during Rita. The PD chief use to have a roadblock and was super rude to all of the adjusters driving through.

Her surge of 24.6 FEET, which ruthlessly flattened every trace of manmade infrastructure along the Mississippi coastline, has to this day only been surpassed by Hurricane Katrina (2005) for a landfalling storm in the United States.
