He sure did! And it's trash.

I’ll never get tired of ARPGs. Give me enemies to fight, loot to chase and a build that keeps getting stronger and I’m in.

今現在、スキルツリーを作っているところなんです。ウォリアーはほぼ完全にできました。 コメントありがとうございます。鋭いご指摘ありがとうございます。何か他にありましたら、アドバイスいただけると幸いです。😍

fuck yeah dude, it's the era of us! I'm fucking around with a game I've been sketching out since I was 14...

Hell yeah, our era! (≧▽≦) What’s the game you’ve been sketching since 14?

Impressive example of the power of AI... But I'm not paying for something you didn't even make yourself. However, you aren't hiding the fact you used AI, so no hate.

Thank you for the comment. I believe that even things made with AI can still create real value, and that’s what I’m aiming for as I build this. I’m also particular about putting out something that I myself can be satisfied with.

@TheSadKot i personally don’t believe you need to slave away for hours and hours doing repetitive rudimentary tasks just to please a few annoying haters, if it’s good, it’s your vision, you had fun, that’s what matters

Thank you for the comment. It's true that I often hear people say “you didn’t make it yourself.” But in my mind, I’m just not writing the code myself—I’m imagining what I want to create, giving instructions to the AI, and shaping it that way. As a complete beginner, the idea of writing code myself never even existed for me from the start, so the expression “you didn’t make it yourself” is something I find a little hard to fully understand. Maybe it’s a cultural difference, or maybe it’s a difference in values. But one thing I can say clearly is this: I truly feel gratitude and respect for all the pioneers who have carefully spent time creating games and given us so much enjoyment. That feeling never changes.

Bro, looks good. I’m 46 attempting the same thing!

Let's both keep pushing and do our best! (ง •̀_•́)ง✨

What principally differentiates this from Diablo. The question is, what design decision makes this worth existing? Honest question. Great work and looking forward to following progress.

Good question - thanks for asking it. Honest answer: mechanically, nothing. It's a Diablo-like and I won't pretend otherwise. What's different is the subject. In 1997 a player called Rainz killed Lord British in Ultima Online using Fire Field. Why did he do it? Was he really the villain? That's the game - built on something that actually happened, not invented myth. The other decision was who gets to play it. No GPU needed, and it runs in 95 languages with voice in 70. An ARPG you can play in your own language on an old laptop barely exists. Honestly, it's still Early Access and far from finished.

45 is not old brother

As you say, even at 45, I myself don’t feel old at all. But from a marketing perspective, it’s an age that easily gives the impression of being “somewhat older” to others, while also having plenty of experience — I think it’s a great age that balances energy and experience perfectly.Thank you for the comment!

Vibe coding gives so many people the possibility to create games. I am doing my by "old way", but congratz for u have achieved here. What engine did you use?

Thanks! No engine TypeScript + PIXI.js. I built my own map editor on top of it, and every level is made with that. Real respect for developers who've been at this a long time — the games you made are the reason someone like me ever wanted to try. Good luck with your space RPG

Thanks, good luck with your project too!

Still a goated game

Thanks a lot! Really appreciate the kind words

I see he has a lot of Diablo 2 experience :)

Honestly, I barely played Diablo 2 lol

You’re missing out!! lol I loved that game!

why do you need these four buttons here? why not something original?

Those four are straight from Diablo 1 — character, inventory, quests, skills. That part is deliberate. All four are on hotkeys too, so you never have to touch them. But you're right that it's the least original corner of the UI — worth revisiting.

Good luck earning money with an ai badge on steam, giving you a follow to follow along the journey. Which ai tools did you use?

Claude Code for all of it - I haven't written a line myself. The badge is there and I'm not hiding it. Fair enough if that's a dealbreaker. Thanks for the follow.

Personally think the ai badge won’t be a dealbreaker as soon as the first games gaining traction and a breakthrough. Just started myself doing my first steps with games. Happy coding!

Thanks! Happy coding to you too 🔥

Diablo vibes. Very nice

Thank you 🙏 That was exactly what I was going for

Supporting! It’s not just a matter of writing one prompt and letting AI build the whole thing. Creating something truly valuable with AI still takes a lot of time, effort, and creativity.

Thank you for your comment. It really makes me so happy.People around me (including my friends) sometimes say things like “You made it easily because you used AI.” I know they don’t mean any harm, but honestly, it frustrates me a lot.I put in a lot of my own money and time to get this far. Hearing it dismissed as “easy” is honestly quite shocking. But receiving supportive comments like yours makes me feel that all the effort was worth it. Thank you so much.

And it's awesome looking.

Appreciate it! Yeah, the visuals came out pretty cool 😍😍

amazing, we're about the same age. i avoided college (there was nowhere to learn gamedev) and taught myself or learned on the job. i spent my entire career getting into gamedev and climbing the ladder (my incomplete portfolio is in my bio). been in it since EQ1. i always dreamed of this sort of thing when i was a kid. i love seeing it manifest in our lifetime. great work, and congrats on making it to steam!

Just looked at your portfolio EverQuest, WoW, Torchlight. I grew up on those. Coming from someone who built them, this really means a lot. Following you now — and if you ever have a moment, I'd love to hear any advice you have on making games. Thank you 🙏

any time. i feel like i should start writing articles about war stories, lessons learned etc. i'm also relearning stuff from the ai perspective, new tools, pipelines etc. i still recommend this book on game design in general:

I looked it up — there's a Japanese edition too (I'm Japanese ), so I'll pick that up 📚 Thank you for the recommendation. And please do write those articles — the war stories are the part you can't get from a tutorial 🙏
