Similar to Vini Jr's disallowed goal, the WC started off so well with a reasonably high bar but it seems to have regressed to micro management. The ref is right next to play & see's it clearly so how does the VAR conclude that is a clear & obvious error?

That’s ridiculous. How can not see that the hand does not make contact with the eyes and therefore the player holding his eye area is cheating. No way should that be disallowed. Cheating needs stamping out not rewarding
