I can't see her name any more without thinking about Saving Private Ryan.

I'm guessing Grable is the blonde?😉

You think? 🤣

What is the relevance of the code?

You might want to mention that the word "gay" in the title means "happy" and "carefree."

But Edward Everett Horton is not in this clip (though he is in the movie, which is probably my favorite Astaire film)

I would love to see this dance number on Dancing With the Stars, now!! 🤣

om gosh - great post thanks!

Ahhh...Yes...Nothing like knocking knees old school style...!

E E Horton was so gay he had it in his contracts that he won't do any love scenes with women! also they have a little street named for him in Encino!

The Great Depression was horrible, but it had its small compensations.

You just know they had to bring in the code because Hollywood was filled with queers and underage jailbait...serving a mostly conservative audience

Perfectly innocent.

16? not even legal.

She was extra, low billed in a lot of movies before getting her shot.

Grable I think was a distant cousin of Ginger but could be wrong
