Yup. The 1 second pauses after each sentence is disgusting. Writing will always be their biggest issue and quite frankly I can't see it ever improving unless they bring in good writers.

Train OG black flag dialogue on Claude and it will give much better results. I have actually tried it, it's much better than what we have here. A good writer with a Claude subscription is better than these trash writers giving us worse writing than AI slop.

Please can we persuade them to go full mocap for the future. It is probably too late for hexe and the next remake (maybe??) but for future content hopefully they will get back to that good quality. I actually enjoyed a lot of the new content but the lack of mocap was obvious

I do appreciate these small changes, they can still do better but non-mocap scenes are leagues better than anything we’ve gotten before… >lipsync is almost perfect >faces are more expressive, specially eyes and reactions >camera direction feels cinematic… I wouldn’t mind them using this system for future side quests and small non climactic cutscenes here’s a cutscene that genuinely looks decent:

They should remove it from the entire game If they wanna use this system for non main content scenes, the animation selection should be catered to the character, not reused across all the games

its funny how much of Ubisoft's game design these days is just based around responding to online criticism. The pose was bad but it wasn't the root of the problem, the real issue is the entire animation system and the stilted conversations filled with pauses (and poorly written)
