A brief scouting report on Isaiah Evans from Wolves GM Matt Lloyd "We actually really liked him in the 1st round last night. And we were considering taking him in the 1st round before we traded back. He provides a little bit of a movement shooting element, something that... show more

Asked Wolves GM Matt Lloyd about the confidence Isaiah Evans plays with and what value they see in that. "Luckily, we met with him at the combine. Tim got a chance to sit with him. And we were really that aspect of his personality, confidence. To go from where he went to playing the way he did at Duke speaks well to the transition that he's about to make. And if he has the self confidence as a shooter, we think it can translate positively."

With the Wolves drafting Duke shooter Isaiah Evans, I asked Matt Lloyd how the Wolves' front office goes about projecting the quality of a shooting prospect. "It's so developed over time... It's watching him play for two years, watching him play in high school, in the high school All American games. We've seen him shoot a lot of 3-point shots. We probably watched every single one of them from this season at Duke. We think it's going to translate positively. And then we have the luxury of having an analytics model that projects shooting, and that projection was very positive."

A very excited Matt Lloyd on what sort of development he's seen from the Wolves' 2025 1st round draft pick Joan Beringer. "Oh boy, here we go... His progression since he got here -- first off, he learned english, so that tends to help a little bit -- and secondly, he's put the work in to elicit a positive outcome because that's who he is."

Broncos GM George Paton, on waiving fifth-round pick Justin Joly: "A talented player. We knew when we drafted him -- we knew he was raw, and we still liked the player. He's coming on towards the end of training camp. The tight end position is a tough position for a rookie. He missed a lot of the offseason, just a little bit behind. We wish we had another game or two. We still like the player. We think he's gonna to have a nice career. You just gotta make tough decisions to build the best 53 you can make."

Joe Gacy on When The Wyatt Sicks lost momentum in WWE: “I just feel like if we had the chance to develop a little more, get a little bit more connection with the audience. Unfortunately, there was a time when Taylor had to take some time off because of a health issue. They kind of pushed pause on us, and I think that not allowing us to have that little development where we could have carried things on a little bit on our own, he took the time off, we could have still carried on and done stuff creatively without him, and then could have had a big moment when he came back. I think that was maybe the beginning, because I guess in their eyes, there the group was Taylor, which I do to an extent understand, but I think we just weren’t given the chance to develop ourselves so we can also become more of a presence in the group.” (Chris Van Vliet)

Asked Tim Connelly about draft night 2024, when the Wolves traded a 2031 top-1 protected 1st round pick and a 2030 1st round pick swap for Rob Dillingham. "We took a swing on a young player we really liked. Didn't work out here like we had hoped. I think Rob is gonna have a heck of a career. But you have to be creative... If we mess up, we'll mess up loudly. We're gonna try to be as aggressive as possible."

Obama: There was a deal in place in which Iran had agreed not to develop nuclear weapons. This administration pulled out of it, which caused then Iran to develop more nuclear capacity ... it feels like we're back where we were before we started the war, except maybe a little bit worse off.

McAvoy on the feeling when Buffalo started to come back: "I thought we were in a good spot. We still had the lead, a little bit of a snowball, but on the bench I think it was positive. We were still in a good spot... "It's unfortunate how it happened but we have to learn from it."

David Feldman says Darren Till signed a three-fight contract with BKFC: "I don't know if he really wanted to do it at first, but we talked and we got there. [He's] truly excited. We're talking all the time. I didn't see this from him at all prior to the fight, but now it's just like, 'Let's take this over. Let's see how we can do. Let's talk about our deal. Let's get this thing going in the right direction.' He's happy. We're happy. We're gonna talk about extending that a little bit. We have something big planned for him."

Trump: On this special day, we gather here to celebrate an incredible feat of friendship between Ireland and the wonderful place that we call the United States. We call it America. We took a little bit of a journey, a little bit of an excursion over the last two weeks because we thought we had to do something about very bad people that want to have nuclear weapons. We cannot allow that. They would have had it if we didn't send the b-2 bombers in seven months ago. A couple weeks after that. We cannot let that happen. We did a little excursion. We are way ahead of schedule.

POSTGAME "We're happy about the way we played. I think we progressed in our game. We have some adjustments we made (that) gave us a little bit more rhythm. There's more things we need to clean up, but I think we played a really good game." Utah Mammoth André Tourigny on Game 5

“We’re not the biggest note takers. We’re more FaceTimers. So we sat there and FaceTimed a little bit the last two nights, talking about what we saw from each other. It’s a little bit easier when you’re in different conferences. You don’t have to lie as much. You can be a little bit more honest, but I know he definitely isn’t always.” Shanahan after he was asked if him and Saleh compared notes after joint practice

Stephon Castle on how the Spurs defended Jalen Brunson: "We did well...I feel like a lot of buckets were loud because they were back-to-back. They hurt a little bit more. We did a pretty good job on him."
