Why arn't British govt using these forts to deter invasive entities like they were built for. A 12Ib canon has a range for up to a mile. no need to hit the invaders just fire, deter, disrupt and scare them off this will at least create a boundary of danger not to be crossed

I’d prefer them if they would just be forced to turn their vessel round back to France. Failing that, sink it. Stop the incentives. Harsh punishment for foreigners who rape, murder or commit any crime come to that followed by deportation. The boats will stop.
It will not be a migrant processing site for small boats! I think they completely underestimate the people of Portsmouth, Gosport, & Lee-on-Solent there is no way in the world we won’t do everything in our power to stop that happening!!
