Very little traffic or pedestrians, how life has changed, not for the better sadly

If ever there was a place that was perfectly fine and didn't need "enrichment" it was London.

Ohhh I remember life back then, my home was in South London. Every Christmas my father drove us around to see the lights, on the way home we stopped in Vauxhall for takeaway fish and chips - in newspaper! Then a panto on Boxing Day! Happier days 🎄

How long before they invent the time machine so I can go visit that remarkable scene?

Certainly a gentler time that sadly we won’t see again. Even the pace seemed unhurried. I visited for the first time in 1972 it was much the same - busier as it was Saturday and League Cup Final Day. My team won! My last trip there was in 2016 - not sure when I’ll revisit…

It seems like another planet. So beautiful. So peaceful.
