SMITH: "Many of the people who are in [PM Carney's] caucus still hold on to the same views that they have for the last 10 years. That Alberta is a problem, our economic wealth is a problem, developing it is a problem, so keep it in the ground. And that is not going to happen."

Trump just now on the muted mics during the debate: “We agreed to the same rules. I don't know. It doesn't matter to me. I'd rather have it probably on, but the agreement was that it would be the same as it was last time. In that case, it was muted. I didn't like it the last time, but it worked out fine. I mean, ask Biden how it worked out. It was fine, and I think it should be the same. We agreed to the same rules, same rules, and same specifications, and I think that's probably what it should be, but they're trying to change it. The truth is they're trying to get out of it because she doesn't want to debate. She's not a good debater. She's not a smart person. She doesn't want to debate.”

Bridgit Mendler on how Northwood is fixing the space economy's ground infrastructure problem: "The problem that we're solving is for every satellite, it requires a connection point back to Earth so that they can control the spacecraft." "That point of contact on Earth is called the ground infrastructure." "If you don't have it, you don't have a space mission." "It literally is just like a rock in space you're doing nothing with." "There was this whole boom around spacecraft manufacturing." "And interestingly what started becoming the longest pole in the tent was just getting the point of contact on the ground to connect with." "You could build a satellite and launch it faster than you could actually connect with it from the ground." "Which just seemed absurd." Bridgit Mendler with Erik Torenberg

Jessica: The argument that the guy who has been out for a year, that it's all his fault, when you have implemented a totally new economic agenda and it's a failure it is not really resonating… When Biden's inflation number was over 9% the entire world's inflation number was up. Trump doesn't have the same issues that Joe Biden did. He doesn't have a supply chain problem. He doesn't have a global health pandemic. He's just setting our economy on fire and not in a good way. Like the dumpster fire way

The BeReal recap is fun. Also how is it possible that instagram still doesn’t have a feature that takes pictures from the front and back at the same-Ish time? It’s such a fun thing to do. Is there another app that has this?

AI Art. I realize not all AI Art tools work the same way. Part of the problem is that we don’t quite understand “how” it works, and until we have a better understanding, some pause for concern is good imo. 1/3

It cannot be that it takes 10 years for the Department of Public Works & Infrastructure to decide on how to secure a building. We have to act with urgency to secure our buildings and ensure it’s not vandalised. #LetsBuildSA

$"Polygon as a blockchain, gets the same value if you move $1 or a billion. It's a fraction of a cent. No one cares." Wallets, ramps, and every other layer in the payments stack were compressing toward the same thing. Polygon | POL bundles all of it. "You can transact on a couple of chains that work extremely well. You can use a couple of wallets that give you the level of service or product that you need. You can use different ramps, and they will be quite similar. But when you put all of that together on the same infrastructure, the same product, that's where we see the value." mechanove.eth (※,※) on the show today.$

Elon Musk just spent seventeen billion dollars to make every cell tower on Earth a relic. Musk: “It will allow SpaceX to deliver high bandwidth connectivity directly from the satellites to the phones.” Not through towers. Not through cables. Not through any infrastructure on the ground. Directly from orbit to the phone in your pocket. For over a century, connectivity followed the same blueprint. Build a tower. Run a cable. Expand the network one piece of ground at a time. Coverage went where the money was. Where the population density justified the investment. Everywhere else got silence. Four billion people still don’t have reliable internet. Not because the technology doesn’t exist. Because no one could justify building a tower where they live. Connectivity was never a technology problem. It was a geography problem disguised as one. Musk: “The phones that are able to use the spectrum that was acquired probably start shipping in around two years.” Two years. Then the phone in your hand connects straight to space. No tower required. No carrier infrastructure between you and the signal. The entire telecom industry was built on one assumption. That connectivity requires ground infrastructure. Every carrier. Every contract. Every coverage map. All products of that assumption. Starlink just bypassed it from orbit. From orbit, every point on Earth is equidistant. The word “remote” only exists because connectivity was built from the ground up. From space, there is no remote. There is no coverage gap. There is no place on Earth harder to reach than any other. The ground decides who gets connected based on where they are. The sky doesn’t know the difference. Human potential was always distributed evenly across the planet. Access to information never was. The gap between those two facts is the greatest waste in human history. We spent a century deciding who deserved access to information based on where they happened to be born. Musk just made that question obsolete from 550 kilometers above the answer.

🚨🇺🇸 When the grid goes dark, Starlink keeps showing up, and Venezuela is just the latest example... After this week's twin earthquakes, Starlink announced a month of free service for users across the impacted areas of Venezuela, rapidly deploying terminals to restore connectivity in the hardest-hit regions. Days earlier, when a 7.8 quake hit the Philippines, it switched on free emergency service for roughly 700,000 subscribers using direct-to-device tech that lets phones send messages with NO ground infrastructure at all. The pattern runs deep. During Hurricane Helene, Starlink sent 140 units to North Carolina and powered emergency operations centers. In the Texas Hill Country floods, Mini kits gave first responders mobile connectivity as the Guadalupe River raged. In the California wildfires, units ran command centers and fire rigs. Earthquakes, hurricanes, blackouts, floods, fires. The story is always the same: cell towers fall, fiber snaps, and a dish pointed at the sky keeps working when everything on the ground fails. Venezuela just became the newest place to find that out. Real utility in real crises 💪 Source: Starlink

Oxford professor with 30 years in Al and 400+ research papers just gave the most honest 1-hour breakdown of how ChatGPT actually works Mike Wooldridge says it simply: Al doesn't think and doesn't understand anything. It just predicts which word comes next. GPT-3 was trained on the entire internet - 500 billion words. A person reading non-stop would need 1000 years to read the same amount. The breakthrough didn't come from science. Someone just threw 10x more data and compute at the problem and it worked. The GPUs that made this possible are the same ones your kids use in Call of Duty. That's why NVIDIA became a trillion-dollar company. The most dangerous thing about Al: it gets things wrong in a very plausible way. That combination is worse than an obvious mistake. 30 years in the field and his conclusion is simple: ChatGPT is just a very large and very expensive autocomplete.

I've tested countless AI tools claiming they can write my follow-ups. See the real difference with Expertise AI: Almost all of them spit out text I have to heavily edit before hitting send. The tone is off. The details are generic. It sounds exactly like it was written by an AI — because it was. This assistant actually works differently. It deeply studies your past calls, CRM notes, and inbox. It learns your specific cadences. How you emphasize value. How you converse with buyers. Then it drafts follow-ups precisely how you would have typed them yourself. Same moment. Same buyer. Same deal. Entirely different, personalized output. That is the fundamental shift from operating a basic AI tool to having a true AI assistant that works on your behalf.

This is DoorDash Air. As a pilot, I can tell you that you wouldn’t build a plane and then ask if it can carry cargo. So we built DoorDash Air from the ground up, designed around what 13 years of deliveries have taught us: what people order, how much it weighs, and how far it has to travel. Our drones are as silent as a passing car and early tests show that we’ve gotten flight delivery times in under ~5 mins on average, so you can get your Chipotle & Popeyes (our first partners) and local favorites right to you, fast. The first deliveries will be in NorCal. We proved autonomy works on the ground. Now see how it works in the sky.

PickMe pays 18% VAT on the full ride fare. Uber pays 18% VAT on its service fee only. Same trip. Same road. Ten times the tax burden on the local company. PickMe can't absorb that gap, so it gets passed to you. Higher fares. Every time. And beyond ride-hailing, every local SaaS platform and homegrown digital service faces the same asymmetry, making it rational for Sri Lankan entrepreneurs to simply incorporate in Singapore instead. Here's what makes it worse: it was COPF that pushed to bring foreign digital platforms into the VAT net in the first place. Before that, Uber paid nothing. We fixed half the problem. The Govt then implemented the framework without equalising the tax base, and handed foreign platforms a structural advantage inside a net we built to level the playing field. I raised this in Parliament of Sri Lanka on June 23rd. The VAT threshold fight was won. This one isn't over.

Health. Welfare. Education. Infrastructure. All cut. Military? Untouched. That is what 50 years of textbook economics looks like. Politicians from Thatcher to Starmer have followed the same playbook: panic about government debt, slash public services, ignore the banking system that actually creates money. Starmer fell for the same reasons every predecessor did. Not just his own failures, but because he was following advice from economists who do not understand how money works. The textbooks call it good policy. I call it an absolute disaster. So for a more comprehensive understanding, refer to the full video presentation given in the comments. #SteveKeen #KeirStarmer #Economics #PostKeynesian #PrivateDebt

Jesse Watters: We Have Evidence of a Secret Service Cover-Up Ronald Rowe testified that the Secret Service didn't cut resources from Trump's detail. Well, it turns out that the same guy “personally directed” Secret Service agents to be CUT. So, he lied. This was revealed by a Secret Service whistleblower who told Senator Josh Hawley that Rowe “directed that Secret Service agents who do threat assessments at events be cut.” “The whistleblower says those agents should have been at Trump's Butler rally doing threat assessments, and they were cut by that Secret Service director, Ronald Rowe,” reported Jesse Watters. “Some of these Secret Service threat assessment agents had been warning about security problems for months leading up to the Butler rally but were ignored. Why? If those agents were at the Butler rally, [Thomas] Crooks would have been in cuffs the second he was spotted with the rangefinder.”

🚨MUST WATCH: Palm Beach Pete Just Took A Lie Detector Test And Failed Miserably Results That Prove He's Hiding Something.📈❌ Palm Beach Pete, in a desperate attempt to prove he is NOT Jeffrey Epstein, just took a lie detector test and FAILED IT MISERABLY. He was caught being deceptive on the most critical question of all: "Have you and Jeffrey Epstein ever been in the same room together?" Watch him squirm. First, he tries to downplay it: "I was at a party and he was at that party. I never spoke to him. I never met him." Then, when pressed, he admits: "So the answer is yes, the answer was yes. I was in a room and he was in the same room." And the polygrapher's devastating response? "No, I'm getting a little deception there." Pete's final, pathetic words? "What can I tell you?" I don't know the truth! You don't know the truth? A man goes on national television, desperate to clear his name from the biggest conspiracy of the century, and his final defense is "I don't know the truth"? That's not a denial. That's a confession. This is the most pathetic attempt at a cover-up we have ever seen. An innocent man doesn't fail a polygraph about his connection to the person he supposedly looks like. An innocent man doesn't fumble his own story. An innocent man doesn't end his defense by claiming he doesn't know the truth. He failed the test. He was caught in a lie. He has the same face, the same teeth, the same tattoo, the same locations, the same "partnerships," and now, he has a failed polygraph to his name. How much more proof does the world need? They faked Epstein's death, and this bumbling fool is the result. He failed the lie detector test. Share this everywhere. The truth is coming out, whether they like it or not. 🇺🇸⚓️ From: Dom Lucre | Breaker of Narratives

Great play from Rasmus Winther , but it highlights a problem a lot of players have, Alvaro, Supa and Myrwn do the same mistake back to back. deciding things on assumption alone, is how you beat bad teams, and lose to good ones.
