AI Art. I realize not all AI Art tools work the same way. Part of the problem is that we don’t quite understand “how” it works, and until we have a better understanding, some pause for concern is good imo. 1/3

Non- consent database AI art is just a long winded way of saying plagerism Just because a machine can hide that it copied and manipulated other artists copyright work better doesnt negate that someones work is being used for anothers profit without an agreement between the two

Exactly. It's legal loophole theft, and it's unethical, not to mention ai art just sucks because it's not art, it's derivative junk that all has the same low-quality feel. Zero chance I would support a publisher that uses it.

It's pretty simple; every AI tool that generates "art" depends on source material. To date, not a single one of the AI tools in existence vets that material to ensure it's all legally obtained. Thus, *ALL* AI art is copyright infringement to a degree.

Unfortunately, the current landscape has already painted some narratives. And these have been built on misinformation and misunderstanding. And are present in nearly every statement and conversation I experience. I'd suggest coming with as fresh a perspective as you can.

If it threatens or potentially puts artists out of a job, then it's 100% wrong. No debate on it from me, you'd lose a ton of amazing art and creativity.

Lex Fridman asked Elon Musk what the meaning of life is. His answer was not what anyone expected. We do not know, he said. And that is exactly why we need to expand consciousness. Not to find the answer. To ask better questions. He believes the universe is full of things we cannot even formulate yet. We are like children trying to understand calculus. The problem is not that calculus is too hard. The problem is that we have not developed enough to know it exists. Consciousness, to him, is a tool for exploring the universe. The more of it we have, the better our questions become. The better our questions become, the closer we get to understanding what any of this means. This is why he builds rockets and brain interfaces and AI. Not because he has the answers. Because he thinks the only way to get them is to expand what we are capable of thinking. Most people spend their lives looking for meaning. Elon is building the tools to look for it at a scale we cannot yet imagine.

We can understand and use artificial intelligence (AI) and other technological innovations in the context of faith. We are not afraid of AI, nor do we think it is the answer to every problem. As we work hard and smart, AI can be a valuable tool to enhance, but not replace, our own efforts. I am so excited to wake up to this news: MoMA is collecting CryptoPunks and many incredible digital art to the esteemed collection!! I’m deeply grateful that Unsupervised helped pave this path 2 years ago, becoming the first generative AI and blockchain art to welcome 3 million visitors into the museum. We proved then that this is not a fringe movement; it is the heartbeat of our time. Digital art is the medium we inherit as a community born on the internet. We all left the doors open for everyone’s dreams and future is bright! Let’s build it together!!!

Crimson Desert has apologized for usage of AI art and is working to replace it. I found it yesterday. It's in the building right before Hornsplitter mission. "During development, some 2D visual props were created as part of early-stage iteration using experimental AI generative tools. Following reports from our community, we have identified that some of these assets were unintentionally included in the final release. This is not in line with our internal standards, and we take full responsibility for it. We sincerely apologize for these oversights. Updated assets will be rolled out in upcoming patches."

I have archives no one thought to save for AI training. True AGI will not understand the universe, no matter how many billions of simulations it makes without the 1000s of hours I have curated from real life. Now simulations are good for some things but not all things. This video clip is about the context: sound, visual, mindset, addition, health and more. You don’t get this online, you don’t get it from 2022 YouTube. Unfortunately for AI folks, they don’t yet understand how vital this stuff is.
