The reef up there is essentially dead. It’s heartbreaking to see. Tourism operators have moved to aerial shots and images of sea turtles for their marketing because healthy coloured coral is all but gone. What remains is white, slime bound or the bright purple of stressed coral.

When I see this coral reef bleaching, it really gets to me emotional!🖤😢 .. Also, when I see coral reef ecologist/marine biologist, plant and regrow coral reefs, it brings me HOPE! 🐠🪸🐡🪸🪼🪸🌊🦑
