Healing Eczema Honey Scrub Before we begin talking about the ingredients and their benefits.... want to share a tip with you. Healing skin scrubs are the most effective when they are made with freshly ground seeds, roots, and grains. I have a small electric herb grinder that I freshly milled the oats, flax, licorice root in. A compromised skin barrier is a common problem with eczema, which can lead to dryness and more irritation. Licorice root, when applied topically, has anti inflammatory properties which can help to calm flare ups. It's anti pruritic (major itch relief) and is mildly anti microbial. It can help to calm itching and protect the skin from further infection. Gotu kola infused rosehip oil. This is my absolute go to for eczema healing. Gotu kola is a traditionL remedy for eczema and often is made into a strong tea and applied with a cloth to itchy inflamed skin. Gotu kola promotes wound healing and skin regeneration. This herb can enhance collagen production and circulation within the skin making it a perfect herb to help heal eczema. Rosehip oil goes into all of my eczema supporting recipes. It loaded with vitamin C and E, protects the skin from oxidative stress, and soothes irritated skin. Raw honey moisturizes, protects, and helps to seal the skin. Raw honey can be applied directly to eczema flareups to calm and heal the skin. Apply 3-4 times a week.
