For years, the incomplete Kangemi Bridge has caused immense challenges for residents and commuters, even leading to tragic losses. A tanker loaded with diesel fell on top of Liverpool Bridge inward Mile 2. The tanker sustained damage, leading to the spillage of diesel across the bridge and on the road beneath. Emergency responders, including the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and other relevant agencies, are already on ground and have successfully contained the situation to prevent escalation. We urge members of the public to exercise restraint, caution, and civic responsibility. Approaching the scene, attempting to scoop fuel, or obstructing emergency operations puts lives at serious risk. Public safety must come first. Our agencies will continue to manage the situation and ensure the area is secured. Cooperation from residents and road users is critical at this time.

This is not the only vision for what it looks like to have politics in this country—that is so divorced from the needs and wants of everyday people. And what we are looking to show in New York City is an alternative to what has led so many to become disenchanted with the political process. We want to show that not only can government work, but it must, and that at its core, our responsibility is to working people—to ensure that we’re doing everything to make their lives easier. That has to be what drives our actions, and for too long, government has felt more like a distraction than a fulfillment of the needs of the people who’ve been left behind by the politics of today.

The deliberate over-complication of this project has frankly been stunning. ➡️ Let's remind ourselves it has now been 9 YEARS since £700,000 was given by our Conservative Government to local Labour-run authorities for a feasibility study. ➡️ It then took Labour 4 years to produce a report which concluded: ‘We need a bridge’. ➡️ Funds were then allocated for this project in 2021 by the previous Conservative government. ➡️ Yet local authorities have sat on their hands and allowed the cost of this project to spiral from £3 million to £13 million. And that’s just for the bridge itself, with the total cost of the scheme when you include plans for pedestrian and cycle paths and more road crossings totalling £24 million ➡️ They are now saying the bridge will not be completed until 2027 - 11 YEARS since money was first given!! 🤔 For reference, the Prince of Wales Bridge — the Second longest bridge in the UK — took just 6 and a half years to plan and build. It is high time for both Bradford Council and the West Yorkshire Mayor to stop dithering and delaying, and to crack on and get our much Silsden to Steeton bridge built. All we want is a simple bridge. It shouldn’t be this difficult.

The criteria for a public inquiry is very, very simple and clear: • Public Concern – The issue must be of significant public interest. • Serious Failing – It involves major failures in public bodies, governance, or safety. • Accountability – There is a need to establish responsibility and learn lessons. All of the above apply to David Amess’ death by a terrorist who left the Prevent programme early. Sir David Amess’ will never receive justice until the government hold a public inquiry. It’s increasingly clear that this is a thinly guised cover-up.

YO! HYDERABAD !!! WHAT NONSENSE IS THIS? Someone stole the LED lights from the Cable Bridge?!? Like seriously??? Yesterday, project Executive Engineer Vijay filed a complaint at the Madhapur police station alleging that ALL the LED lights were stolen from the cable bridge. Like this bridge is one of the most happening and busy place. There is a 24 hour surveillance system. Constant traffic flow. And this is in the heart of the city….barely 3-4kms from the CM’s residence. And someone came, stripped all the lights and walked away? Like really?? Or is it another fancy coverup theory? I mean, last couple of days ago people were complaining about the cheap function halls lights that were fixed in place of the imported LEDs on social media. And now this “theft” gets reported. Totally convenient BS know? VC: Video belongs to the original creator. Had to use an old video for the actual lighting.

Again, this is for those who claim the dangerous rhetoric comes only from one side: Trump's Veterans Day speech in November 2023: "In honor of our great veterans on Veterans Day, we pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists, and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country—those who lie, steal, and cheat on elections. The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave than the threat from within." Because I watch and record virtually all campaign speeches and clip many of them, I can say that most rallies are difficult to watch. Both sides consistently paint the other as dangerous and even deadly. I have countless clips featuring dangerous rhetoric from all sides. In Trump’s case, statements like the one here are a regular feature at his rallies, though many people don’t watch them, so they may not be aware of this. The reality is that both sides spread dangerous rhetoric and hate. Lowering the temperature starts with acknowledging that this problem doesn’t belong to just one side, even though each side tends to blame the other.
