A comparison just crossed my mind

Also Sade and Maya back to back

Since more people are seeing this, check out this really cool mashup of the two songs!

YOU CAN GO WHERE YOU WANT TO GO , BE WHO YOU WANT TO BE , CHANGE THE WAY YOU LIIVEE 😫😫😫

I CHERISH THE DAY I WON'T GO ASTRAY I WON'T BE AFRAID YOU WON'T CATCH ME RUNNING 🗣🗣🗣

love deluxe such a good album

No-skipper for sure

mhm mhm. favourite track?

Either Like a Tattoo, Feel No Pain or Pearls I love the groovier tracks on the album too (and Feel No Pain is definitely groovy) but those 3 just touch my soul

for a while i wouldve said no ordinary love but past couple years pearls has been my number 1

@PiniRosa2 Holy shit Drifter I never heard the parallels

@PiniRosa2 IT JUST HIT ME LIKE A FREIGHT TRAIN LAST NIGHT

@PiniRosa2 Time to revisit that Sade album. It’s been years. I think I discovered her cuz of MF Doom

@PiniRosa2 Ohhhh yeah he sampled Kiss of Life right?

@PiniRosa2 Yeah! That’s the one sample for Doomsday.

I love how RnB Persona 2 EP is

omfg i have always talked about how the riffs in sade songs from that time period sound like persona 2 bgm!!!! never seen anyone else discuss this. cheers!!! 🍻

AYYY I'm glad I'm not the only one who clocked it 🍻 it's been so cool to see other people who love both Sade and P2EP thanks to this post

I should get into Sade

You really should bro

My mom really likes her iirc

Your mum and I would get on very well I think

Her other faves are Sinéad O’Connor and Cocteau Twins btw Although she basically looks like a female version of me and I’m not sure you could handle all that

She sounds incredibly based. Respectfully I may have to rise to the occasion

When I reached the final stretch of P2 EP and came across this part of the Map III theme, I immediately thought of Pokémon BW like that Ratatouille gif lmao

SADE!!! SADE!!!

YEAHHHH WE LOVE SADE HERE

And discovered during Black History Month? Turn that shit up.

hold on I gotta see if I can put these two together

YES PLEASE

(what track off the EP OST is this i forgor)

Map II my beloved

peak x peak

ive always found parallels between rnb and persona 2 in particular glad someone else has noticed. that simple mashup was great too. love deluxe is one of my favorite albums ever, i have it on vinyl.

j’ai fini twitter wow

man i only know no ordinary love

@2INTHE_AMPM Peep the rest of the album when you get a chance!

So sure this was done on purpose. P2 has a very diverse soundtrack rather than sticking to a general genre. My favourites in the entire OST of the Duology are R&B and New Jack Swing adjacent tracks

Speaking of New Jack Swing, this is one of the few remixes the PSP version nailed imo

Yup thats one of my favourite tracks ‼️

I never thought I would see sade and persona in the same post 😭

my two worlds collide… this is why persona 2 ep is the best game of all time

oh my god

Yessirrrrrrr

Sade my GOAT

Sade always my fav all time artist

Please ost name pls puh lease

It's Map II from Persona 2: Eternal Punishment :))

Elite ball knowledge

oh okay

I see the vision

Wait people are now just figuring this out 🤔

I mean. Idk how many people are fans of both Sade and Eternal Punishment, and I've never seen anyone make the comparison before 💀

This is rare

Persona 3’s soundtrack (ps2) is basically double’s 3rd studio album (vision)

Reminds me of ffx-2 besaid island theme song and Sade’s kiss of life

Stop using your mind.
