The Member of Parliament for Aowin, Hon. Oscar Ofori Larbi, has condemned the demolition of an existing market in the constituency to pave the way for the construction of a proposed 24-hour market. According to the MP, he was not informed about the demolition and considers the decision inappropriate, arguing that there are several available lands in the constituency that could be used for the project without destroying an existing market.
