You can’t just pull that from the local grid without sending electricity bills soaring. Cities won’t allow it, and communities push back hard. Meanwhile, China is moving full speed ahead. No red tape. No delays. Trump’s push for coal, nuclear, and stranded gas might sound outdated, but it’s exactly what we need. And we won't get into all the technology, but they are now working with hyperscalers and they are a resource for energy that will allow a data center to get ramped up quicker. "So, even though it costs a little bit more money today to put an energy cell from Bloom, an energy box from Bloom, which are energy cells, it essentially takes things like natural gas, but instead of burning the natural gas, there is a chemical process that turns that natural gas into energy for the data center."

God put the Permian Basin right beneath our feet, and it’s our responsibility to use it. We must deregulate, unleash American production, and restore true energy independence and energy dominance. Right now, the United States doesn’t have an Energy Senator. I intend to fill that void. This matters to Texans because affordable, reliable, clean energy is how we drive prices down, strengthen our economy, and secure our future. And this isn’t just about Texas or even America. When we lead in energy, we lead the world.

This is Amazon's new $11 billion AI data center campus in St. Joseph County, Indiana. It will draw 2.2 gigawatts of electricity - the output of a large power plant, enough to supply 1 million homes. For years the public was told energy had to be rationed: use less, dismantle reliable sources, accept scarcity - all to save the planet. That story has now been abandoned. AI requires massive continuous electricity to power the data centers, and AI is now seen as the superior control system. So energy is no longer a liability. It is a strategic necessity. Power will now come from wherever. Whatever works. Whatever scales. The climate narrative was tossed out the moment AI dominance became the new priority. Power was to be rationed. Now it is required. Power was the problem. Now it is the solution.
