so they want us to trust robots now? because humans are clearly perfect. sure, let’s hand over control to machines that can’t even decide what’s ethical.

Amazon makes a big move in the humanoid game. Amazon has acquired Fauna Robotics, a New York-based humanoid robot startup. The transaction closed last week. Fauna Robotics developed Sprout, a compact and approachable humanoid robot designed for safe, everyday interaction in shared human spaces such as homes, offices, and schools. Standing about 3.5 feet tall, Sprout can walk, grasp objects, interact with people, and even dance. The robot was launched in January this year as a humanoid platform for developers, priced at $50,000. Following the acquisition, Fauna’s roughly 50 employees will join Amazon. The company will continue deploying Sprout to outside researchers, and the startup will retain its name while operating as “Fauna, an Amazon company.” $AMZN

Meet Sprout: The NYC-Built Humanoid Designed to Live Among Us 🤖🫶 New York-based Fauna Robotics just pulled the curtain back on Sprout, a humanoid platform built specifically for the spaces we actually live in—homes, schools, and offices. Standing 3.5 feet tall (approx. 107 cm), Sprout isn't a shrunk-down factory machine; it’s a lightweight, soft-touch robot designed with zero pinch points or sharp edges. ➤ Built for Builders: This is a "canvas" for developers. Fauna provides movement, perception, and navigation right out of the box, allowing researchers to skip the basics and focus on high-level apps like manipulation and voice interfaces without worrying about the robot falling over. ➤ Socially Approachable: Sprout features an expressive face to communicate intent and moves quietly to blend into social settings. Instead of keeping humans behind safety cages, the team designed Sprout to be something people actually want to lean in and say hello to. ➤ A Trustworthy Foundation: With 80% of the workforce in services, Fauna is targeting urgent needs in healthcare and eldercare. By keeping engineering and manufacturing in NYC, veterans from Meta, DeepMind, and Amazon are building a durable, affordable foundation for the future of human-robot interaction. Humanoid robots are being born in China every day. Blue Worm Robotics, a startup from Xi’an, has officially unveiled its first humanoid robot. It moves on omnidirectional wheels, features a lifting torso, and has a look that’s almost like a Transformer. It runs in a hybrid mode of human teleoperation plus AI autonomy, and with its gripper design, it shows strong potential for use in electronics manufacturing and warehouse logistics. It made its debut at this year's World Humanoid Robotics Games in Beijing, winning third place in the warehouse sorting category.

The First Manufacturer to Mass-Produce 5,000 Humanoid Robots AgiBOT rolled off its 5,000th humanoid robot (a Lingxi X2) today, marking a milestone for both the company and the humanoid robot industry as a whole: a significant step towards large-scale deployment in the real world. AgiBOT co-founder and CTO Peng Zhihui stated in a live said that these 5,000 units include the Yuanzheng series (1742), the Lingxi series (1846), and the Genie series (1412). These humanoid robots will be deployed in various settings, including scientific research, entertainment, shopping malls, factories, and warehouses. This also signals that AgiBOT has the capacity for mass production and is ready to meet future surges in customer demand. Its production partner, LingyiTech, was the main force behind the assembly of AgiBOT's 5,000 humanoid robots this year, and they are planning an automated production line with an annual capacity of 500,000 units. Next year will be a milestone year for humanoid robots, reaching 10,000 units annually. Including Tesla, 1X, UBTECH…

11 years of humanoid robotics in one video. 🤖 In 2015, humanoid robots were still struggling with basic tasks like walking, climbing stairs and recovering from falls during the DARPA Robotics Challenge. Fast-forward to 2026, and humanoids are running, jumping, boxing, playing football, handling industrial tasks and operating in real-world environments. The World Humanoid Robot Games featured 2,056 robots across 51 events, including practical tasks in factories, hotels and homes. The progress is obvious. But the real question is not how impressive they look in a demo. What will humanoid robots be capable of in 2036? 👀 🎥 Media: Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) / Unitree Robotics ⚠️ This content is shared for informational purposes only. Collaborating like an ant colony Blue Worm Robotics from Xi'an has released a wheeled humanoid robot solution for warehouse automation. The wheeled humanoid robots move freely and quickly among warehouse shelves and workstations, using their lifting bodies to move, transfer, and sort goods. The robots collaborate with each other, and multiple robots can even work together to assemble another robot. As the collaborative tasks become more complex, swarm intelligence will emerge.

Turning video into humanoid robot motion! 🤳🏼 Training humanoid robots needs huge amounts of motion data, but real-world capture doesn’t scale. Mocap is expensive, dangerous edge cases are rare, and you can’t ask humans to repeatedly fall or crash. Video2Robot tackles this by converting videos into physics-grounded humanoid simulations. Motion is generated to respect balance, inertia, ground contact, and joint limits, then directly retargeted to robot simulators. One prompt can generate a full humanoid motion sequence, including multi-agent interactions and failure cases like falls or collisions, scenarios that are hard or impossible to capture safely in the real world. The pipeline is model-agnostic and works with existing video generators, making it a practical way to scale data for robots. If robots are going to operate in the real world, they need to be trained on the failures too, not just the perfect demos.
