“a day without data centers”

you can enjoy a day without data centres right now if you log off of twitter! 😊

You literally spent the entire day on twitter

It would be like in wall-e when the fat adult babies had to look away from their screens

Kids would have a great time! Banks, retail, hospitals, police, schools, airlines, national defense, gamers, researchers, power plants, and more would have a terrible time. People would literally die. Not figuratively. Literally thousands of additional deaths.

You're allowed to put down your phone and go outside right now.

Newsflash: Without data centers, you wouldn't be able to share all of your awful unfunny tweets with the world.

Could you imagine a world without data centers?

Quit using social media then. Quit online usage entirely. Every single one of your posts are sitting in a data center But I doubt you could

you have 60k posts, you wont survive without data centers for hour.

"Don't let the American's win the AI race!" "Oh wait, I mean: AI data centers will destroy America!"🤣

Shitlib twitter when they have to go 24 hours without the CSAM generation machine

we don't need *useless datacenters. There are ones that are useful to store information and such but recently they are just for genAI crap.

Ask these guys their opinion on auditing these data centers and they start sperging out

I just love that the worst center-left to moderate thinkers on this website are so explicitly pro big tech and data center but then spend the rest of the time lamenting Democrats taking “unpopular positions” on things that actually poll above 40%

If we shut down data centers, within hours, most of our civilization would disintegrate. Telephone communications would disappear immediately, as would all ability to do credit card or wire payments. No one could get paid their salary, no one could buy food, no one could talk to anyone else. Food shipments would cease as there would be nothing to coordinate the shipments. Most modern farms depend on data centers to run a lot of of their equipment, so they would have trouble too. The Internet would disappear. Hospitals would be unable to manage the care of their patients, would be unable to do MRIs or CT scans, would be unable to get tests processed. Much of the electrical grid would shut down quickly, as would many train systems and municipal water systems. Deaths would start within hours, and within days, mass starvation would begin.

Your phone has an off button.

So...our kids become incredibly unproductive and watch paint dry while Chinese kids are becoming geniuses??? You just want China to win. Admit it. You're a CCP agent.

One of the dumbest invocations of this fucking video was when WhatsApp went down several years ago and a radio host did it, despite the fact Lisbon has a heavy immigrant population and using sms to talk to home family was easily 20, 40 times more expensive per message.

You can have this now. Just delete your account.

• Account created: October 9, 2016 • Total posts (as of ~August 21, 2026): 59,109 • Days active: ~3,603 Calculation: 59,109 ÷ 3,603 ≈ 16.4 Maybe take your own advice. Stop clogging the data center’s storage with your slop.

Why are you on X then?

people should note that the ones we need gone are AI data centres, not ones that handle cloud storage and stuff

"I was going to go out & enjoy the real world but this social media post has convinced me I should make more posts in contempt of data centers! Doh!"

Says the person using a data center to post this. 🤣

Acting like datacenters are a problem when the government literally stops said datacenters from building power plants or infrastructure and at the same time wastes 100x the water of all datacenters combined.

20k likes 2 positive comments genuine engagement btw

Fucking moron.

isnt that just a more complicated way of just saying "a day without internet"?

Botting likes on an anti-Data Center tweet is fucking wild.

The kids won't be allowed to play outside without CPS being involved.

Hmm I wonder how twitter stores its data
