Chinese are smart. I do not see China as an enemy but as a trade rival. They were not deeply vested in the ideological politics of the Iranian Theocracy, nor the Narco-State of Venezuela. They are an industrial power and need petroleum. I expect the US will not interfere with China's needs from either source.

For China the IRGC was a useful tool. The oil discount and loyal customer great. But nobody can support the IRGC or Maduro regime in good conscience.
