🔺 Iran’s parliament speaker claims total victory over US and Israel, says US now “recognizes” the resistance front Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who heads Iran’s negotiating delegation, declared Iran the outright victor in the war with the United States and Israel and made new claims about the terms of the resulting agreement, in comments over the weekend carried on his official channels. 🔸“We have won the war on both the military and political fronts,” Ghalibaf said at a Journalist’s Day ceremony, calling the outcome “the greatest absolute defeat for the United States and the Zionist regime.” 🔸He said the two states had attacked Iran with “nine officially declared, written, and repeated objectives” and “did not achieve any of their goals at any level.” 🔸 Ghalibaf claimed the firepower used against Iran exceeded that deployed throughout the Vietnam War, but said Iranian society remained united. Iran must now establish sufficient deterrence to avoid being trapped in a cycle of war, ceasefire and attrition, he added. 🔸On the MOU that expired today, Ghalibaf said Iran had secured recognition of the "resistance front." He said an initial 15-point document from the US demanded Iran abandon its missile and nuclear programs, the resistance front, and its position on the Strait of Hormuz, but Trump was ultimately forced to “recognize the Resistance Front in Persian” in the final MOU. 🔸He credited the victory to 90 million Iranians “of all tastes, religions, ethnicities and backgrounds,” along with those killed in the war.
