There’s no question this operation is well beyond what the Chinese communists anticipated. It has to be jarring, to say the least.

Chinese are smart. I do not see China as an enemy but as a trade rival. They were not deeply vested in the ideological politics of the Iranian Theocracy, nor the Narco-State of Venezuela. They are an industrial power and need petroleum. I expect the US will not interfere with China's needs from either source.

China happily helped perpetuate the bad behavior in both Venezuela and Iran. It was 100% about cheap oil for them. Fuck them for that.
